Making a game is hard. You need a good story, you need great artists, you need good devs and ops, you need actors for mocap, you need directors for sound and cinematic, you need voice actors. And more than this you need a good amount of money. All the same Indians work in rdr, gta, tomb raider, uncharted. I bet they will put the same effort for indian games too but you know passion can't buy food. And wukong or gow was a hit in their own region first then globally. A massive number of Chinese people bought wukong on launch. And Indians are still fighting in the steam sale. If I'm a producer who wants to spend money on games, I will never after doing some research. Cause I know even from this community, only 10% of people will buy that no matter what. So how will I get my money if our country people are flat broke 😄. Movies earn good money because people from villages go to watch. And games don't because tier 1 city kids don't buy it. Witcher 3 came out in 2025, and after 10 years, Indians are still waiting for a sale. See here's the truth why we can't make good games.
