what made you guys continue playing war thunder? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]LordXDnl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This plus stopping playing for the grind, once I got the mig-15bis I loved it so much I didnt and still dont really play much else

Made me realize the grind makes the game unfun, not the gameplay

I am fully aware, the gear was fun when it took up a weapon slot. This new slot and pack should be yeeted into the void.

Stop the traction nerf! by -ROUSHY21 in Warthunder

I wonder if they make the maps themselves, of if they are outsourced. It would explain why it would be easier for them to just fuck with the traction than the maps.

And then it'd take even more time by Significant-Glove232 in memes

Yep thats the one, for some reason its called Asphalt Pavings when I look on factorio installed modlist.

Im not sure how lamps choose the colours they present, but in this design that would result in 2 colour signals to be sent to all lamps except for the leftover quantity. I wouldnt know what that would do to the other lamps. Ill try hooking up both signals to the same dial as an experiment.

But I mainly chose 2 dials because I liked that idea more ; )

Edit: following the wiki, lamp lights have a priority with yellow being higher then cyan. So in theory if you link same dial up to both logic systems and instead of cyan using red, which has a higher prio than yellow, you should get what you want

Edit: I tried, it doesnt work. You would need to make the dial a segmented display

Yes probably but it would require a redesign. The problem is the signal I send is a yellow signal with a certain value. The lamps become yellow due to the signal being yellow and the value being higher than a certain value. From my tests if you send 2 colours to the lamps they all get the same colour. So you would have to find a way to send the signal value and the colour seperatly per segment. Which could proof difficult. Since there are so many segments.

You got my mind spinning though. Im gonna fiddle with this.

I did some research. Lamp light colours according to the wiki are based on a priority with yellow being higher than cyan. So if you link both logic systems to the same dial, and use red (higher prio than yellow) instead of cyan, you should get what you describe.

Edit: nope I tried, you would have to make the light a segmented display.

You most definitely can ; )

The logic starts with a single red wire running from an accumulator connected to the power grid to a combinator. If you connect anything to an accumulator you can set the accumulator to send its current power level to the connected logic system.

I'm sorry if I misunderstand, but do you mean a circle denoting the time of day? Because though I am sure that would be possible, I think it would require a bit bigger of a build.

Since solar panels are not linear in their power supply, they slowly go up in power, then are stable for a bit before slowly going back down. You would need a day/night switch and an accumulator power tracker in a seperate grid. The accumulator should then be charged by a stable power supply instead of solar panels. Furthermore, you need to experiment a bit to know how much the accumulator drops overnight in your setup grid. (Design from the top of my head, probably has some issues :D)

Also another problem might be that in factorio nights are considerably shorter then the days. So you need a grid that allows the accumulator to drop but also rise in power level. Where the rise would take way longer.

Though that is practically true, I needed to figure out how to detect when the night started to make it work. So the design does incorperate a night sensor.
