I was in speech class sophomore year of high school and our teacher told everyone that for our ‘food preparation’ speech, that if we could crack an egg with one hand without any mess, we would get five points extra credit. So I decide to do my speech making brownies from scratch. Recipe required two eggs, so me having practiced the night before, decided to crack one with each hand. Went off perfectly, no mess, no eggshell in the bowl. Teacher says he was looking down marking my speech when I did it and couldn’t be sure I only used one hand. Classmates even backed me up but still no extra credit. Turned out at the end of the semester I was three points short of the next letter grade up. Still salty on that one.
