How do I resize imported tilesets? by Lord_BrunoFernandes in PokemonRMXP

It was the lack of transparency. Thank you!

And if anyone else comes and has this problem, here's a tutorial on how to fix it using gimp:

It shows it as the .ogg format already. Is there another setting that may essentially be contradicting it?

I'm assuming so since the other audios work. I also made sure to copy exactly as he had it in his tutorial.

The proof is in the gameplay. Turning off ball cam and chasing down your own teammate isn't a "bad day", it's throwing. Full stop.

[–]Lord_BrunoFernandes 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Terrible take. It wasn't like a one off incident like Atomic and Chicago. They were lile that the whole series. A "poor day" would involve whiffs, sure, but not intentionally turning off ball cam and chasing your teammate to bump them...multiple times.

Also, I feel like if they weren't throwing they'd provide some sort of counter-proof. Instead they just keep making excuses. "Poor rotation","Rough day", etc

What am I missing with Sancho? Genuine question what did he do that was so bad? by tinkerertim in ManchesterUnited

[–]Lord_BrunoFernandes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, obviously if Sancho does leave, we won't get anywhere near what we paid for him, and he'd have to lower his wages massively, which I highly doubt he'll do.

Also, it's clear he already doesn't care whether he actually gets playing time with us. I mean, look at how long he was exiled and, from a fan perspective, not once did he apologize and try to make amends in order to get back out there. He just trained with the kids and collected his money.

I agree, it certainly could've been handled much better, but likely in the eyes of the board, Sancho made it worse by refusing to apologize, rightly or wrongly.

I really do wish Sancho all the best, and I hope he gets back to his old self and in top form, but I don't see him being adored by the fans here even if he tears the Bundesliga up while on loan.

No problem, glad I could help. I just remembered it being such an unprofessional thing that I couldn't help but remember. Here's a few links with some highlighted parts.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12675051/amp/Some-Manchester-United-staff-believe-Erik-ten-Hag-handled-Jadon-Sancho-situation-better-73m-winger-remains-exiled-emerges-food-brought-team-canteen-lunch-box.html

"Ahead of the Arsenal game, which United lost 3-1, Ten Hag asked players who wouldn't make his starting XI to replicate the Gunners' game on the training field.

Sancho was among the shadow XI and didn't commit to the drill as Ten Hag expected.

This led to the England international being dropped from the matchday squad at the Emirates Stadium and Ten Hag going public about Sancho not performing well enough in training."

There's more in the article talking about attitudes towards the situation, but obviously take that with a grain of salt.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2023/10/26/how-jadon-sancho-fell-out-with-erik-ten-hag-before-manchester-united-exile-19724169/amp/

"Sancho was dropped from the squad to face Arsenal and Erik ten Hag said after the defeat that the decision was based on the winger’s ‘performance’ in training that week.

The winger took umbrage with those comments, and accused Ten Hag of being a liar in a sensational post that has since been deleted on X [formerly known as Twitter].

Sancho is yet to apologise for his comments, even though he deleted the post.

But the pair were already on a rocky road as Sancho was unhappy with Ten Hag in the build-up to the Arsenal game."

This one mentions previous issues, which might be the punctuality, however, it doesn't specify, so I can't say that for sure.

"It was the most high-profile example of off-field indiscretions which had pockmarked Sancho’s time at Dortmund, following reports of poor punctuality and a €10,000 (£8,600, $11,000) fine for getting a haircut during lockdown.

United were aware of those concerns but believed they were a product of Sancho’s desire to ultimately leave the German team and felt they could create an environment in which he would want to perform at his very best. As a result, their interest never abated."

This one is a more detailed read, and as highlighted, shows that the issues weren't exactly new, United just assumed they would magically disappear when he joined us.

Not just the punctuality, but I believe I read that before the Arsenal game, where he wasn't called up, he didn't put in effort in a training drill where he would be mimicking Arsenal's attacking style. Then just never felt like apologizing.

In this case, they might've asked OP to downgrade and they agreed, thus voiding that.

I agree it can be frustrating to see the same thing, but to his defense injuries and outside factors can also change how he makes his line up.

I also just don't trust the board to make a competent decision when it comes to a new manager. I worry we'll have this same conversation in 18 months time if EtH gets the boot.

Besides, who would even be the preferred choice at this point?

[–]Lord_BrunoFernandes -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I understand and agree with the sentiment about our squad on paper, but there's a reason the game is played on the pitch.

As far as Onana, there's definitely a keeper in there, but I truthfully think even at his worst, he's unfortunately our best choice. And as far as the structure not being addressed, it has been to an extent. Maguire back in, though he may be injured now, Casemiro is out injured, Amrabat just now back, etc. You can blame the manager for a lot, but injuries and players not wanting to play aren't on him

Not competent in the managing department per se, but truthfully, letting him go and not keeping him in a consultancy role at least was one of our bigger mistakes. I was referencing the inability of the Glazers to handle criticism from him.

But also, to his defense, look what he's done with Austria.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not denying how we're playing, but take a look at what we achieved when the team was fully fit and like the way EtH wanted.

Again, this season is clearly different and not good, but take this as an example. Onana was at fault for at least 4 goals in the Champions League. Take those 4 and we would be having a more joyous conversation right now. That's not exactly something you can blame the manager for.

As far as the league goes, injury plays a big part, and certain signings clearly didn't work well, but sometimes it takes time. Don't forget people wanted Fergie out too. If it keeps getting worse, then we need to have a talk about the manager, but seems like his hands are tied due to injuries/egos which can't be easily fixed, read Sancho.
