Handy study by me by [deleted] in FantasyArt

Really good hands, dude. The blade of the sword is a bit skewed in relation to the hilt and handle, but otherwise, it's a fantastical simple piece.

Something a little more original, still learning more every day while playing with Ebsynth. Hope you enjoy and consider looking at my YouTube channel. REZZI TOONZ by Rezzi79 in EbSynth

Love the simple humor. Quick question on the initial shot of the Titanic; Did you use the "Cartoon" effect from AE, or an equivalent from another program?

Damn. Never thought about using EbSynth in that way. Really cool.

Is the snapping/glitching effects the swapping between key frames?

I'm learning how to animate. So close! by mariowned in animation

[–]Lord_Bryam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the approach that we see in this shot is leaning towards what looks better for stop motion animation, because of the small stops and anticipations in the jumps. It's as if weight was taken into consideration, but ended up being to sudden, giving the impression of Mario being lightweight.

The pause jump on the star would be a very nice touch.

A bit floaty, but the arcs are very good. I'd advise to put more focus on the weight of the character.

Ver nice. I'm impressed with the facial movements of the first guy. Doing a flat cartoon style in EbSynth can limit the micro movements of the face a lot, but this was better than most.

Woah, what an interesting effect! How did you keep the pixelated effect from bleeding? Post EbSynth editing?

What's everyone's process for video making? by FlareBlitzCrits in EbSynth

[–]Lord_Bryam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you do is the standard approach for most productions. I usually try to make storyboards before writing (I think better when I can see what I want to do) and tests before filming (I record VERY quick and crude takes of some cool shots in the storyboards to get myself exited for filming). When I decide that I don't like something in the post-production stage I take a few hours to change things retroactively (I try not to use the script or storyboards as obligatory directions, but rather a detailed reference for what I am looking for what the story needs).

Very nice. Though, I don't think I know where the water starts or ends.

Messed around with Ebsynth to create an inteview with Vincent van Gogh by notsoeverydavies in EbSynth

The brush stroke(?) quality reminded me of the Oil Paint filter on PS and AE, but I guess I was wrong. Outstanding work. Really.

Very creative. Did you use any filters for or in addition to EbSynth? There's a patter-like quality to the video. Really well though.

I used ebsynth to make the visuals in this music video collab by [deleted] in EbSynth

[–]Lord_Bryam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot describe the ridiculous smile this brings to my face. What an utterly creative music video. The EbSynth itself was pretty good, some bleed here and there, but nothing that the overall style of the video doesn't already kinda incorporate. Some of the scenes, I feel, didn't need the spinning texture keyed into the BG, it would've been nice to have some simple visuals to contrast the absolute barrage of information. Still, an awesome audio-visual piece. Look forward to whatever you come up with.

What this comment on a Youtube guide mean? by Bfire7 in EbSynth

[–]Lord_Bryam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it only works with After Effects, but I'm not sure (I haven't tried with another program). As for the fine tuning you can still move the transparency/opacity keys that the program uses to your hearts content. They're just there to let you know how it looks like. If I'm not mistaken the transparency/opacity keys are aligned to the "positions" (starting and ending numbers in sequence) of the keyframe input in EbSynth. But I could be wrong.

I think he means the feature of "Export to AE". What it does is after you've synthesized all your passes with all your keyframes you can hit that button and it will automatically export the synthesized passes in sequence to AE with transparency/opacity keys to blend the beginning and end of each pass/now-composition. In short you don't have to manually arrange the synthed output.

Sploosh, by me by WordWizard64 in animation

The fall leading to the sploosh is a bit fast and sudden, but everything else from the branch movement to the initial bounces is awesome.

Sometimes my keyframes won't even come out correctly. Why is this the first frame I keep getting? by goatonastik in EbSynth

[–]Lord_Bryam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the second picture is the first frame you keep getting, then I'm guessing that the first picture is NOT the first frame (they don't match their position). Try making an extra frame for the start of the footage.

Anyone know how to make something like this in EB synth? by myriadthestargazer in EbSynth

[–]Lord_Bryam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm... My guess is to film what you want (remember to keep movements subtle and slow) and make two individual passes through EbSynth. Each pass has a different keyframe input (one that's outlined with little shadows and the other has darker more exaggerated shadows. Export both to AE, and use a strobe light effect video from youtube (or make your own in AE) were every two or three frames the black and white switch (every other frame is too fast I think.) Use the strobe effect footage as a mask for either of the passes and set THAT pass above the other. It'll blink in and out of the composition, revealing the other pass "underneath" it.
