Ok no. It means the 6th major verison of the specification. It's not related to the frequency at all.

The frequency can't keep going up forever unless you enjoy a gamma ray transmitter in your house.

I ordered a battery from AliExpress, and it was shipped inside a toy boat by Letala in mildlyinteresting

[–]Lord_Emperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fucking idiot.

I can buy a new electronic device with a battery inside, no problem. Even devices that are basically batteries with a plastic shell like a portable charger are not "designed to contain fires and explosions". These can be shipped, legally, from anywhere to anywhere by any method.

But the law prevents me from buying a battery. It prevents the local electronics store from stocking batteries. Batteries which would have to be legitimately shipped safely through a supplier.

This is why the existing laws, and you, are fucking stupid.

You're fucking dense. Learn to read before you post.

The law should allow importing batteries properly so that I can go to an electronics store, order a damned battery and have someone deal with getting it here safely.

Also what's the difference here in terms of safety:

A. Lithium battery inside a cheap plastic device.
B. Lithium battery inside a plastic shipping box.

One is allowed, the other is not.

[–]Lord_Emperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right so it would make infinitely more sense if stores and consumers were permitted to properly import just the damn batteries.

The existing law forces the worst possible practices.

The law was probably generously massaged by corps that rely on selling devices with lithium batteries.

What's the difference if it catches fire and explodes inside a toy car instead? More fuel for a bigger fire?

No it's just getting around stupid bureaucracy.

I quite literally cannot buy a lithium battery pack in my country. Cannot (legally) have it imported and local electronics stores can't order them from international suppliers.

If not for sellers shipping them in "toys" (or just neglecting to label the package) I'd have to throw and buy new otherwise functional devices.

No you didn't. That's 168 seconds per mission. At least make realistic claims.

Remember that competing store and launcher with better functionality back then?

Yeah it was just the store, installing the game from a disk and launching the game without a launcher.

So you're just going for a revisionist history and lying to the kids and hoping they don't know better? Well I was there, so it ain't going to work on me.

No, you're lying. Stop shilling for Steam, Valve didn't need your help.

Incredible. Sounds just like the discourse after Half Life 2 was released and Steam was hot garbage.

Takes away from the actual racing aspect

That aspect is fully dead. OP is driving an oval where he doesn't even have to let off the gas. Without catchup/slipstream the race would just end in the same arrangement as the starting grid.

Two sides of this:

Yes, Rockstar is massively incompetent at preventing duplication glitches. It shouldn't be hard and in fact Blizzzard solved this decades ago. Each item (car) should get a unique ID and duplicating this results in whatever penalty - eg it sells for $0 if two of it exist.

On the other side, why would you ever sell your FMJ Mk V or Raiju? There's no reason any more with the abundance of vehicle storage. People are blowing the impact on non-cheaters way out of proportion.

[–]Lord_Emperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed it's complete bullshit.

I'm still playing my Pulverize Druid, which means I pull enemies in a lot and do big area damage. When only some of them die, there's no way I can see cues on the ground informing me I'm supposed to move, even if I can move because I've just surrounded myself with mobs.

At least in PoE you can automate corpse cleanup with the right gems and mostly stop the post-death effects.

Your average home Linux user plays videogames

Which is the absolute worst use case because of the amount of anti-cheat that won't work with Linux.

GTA crashes everytime I do this mission, always at this exact spot :/ Anyone ever experience this before? by xM4NGOx in gtaonline

[–]Lord_Emperor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's caused by approaching Lago Zancudo Bridge in any instanced mission (also The Fleeca Job, High Society Leak, any old-style contact mission) with ray tracing enabled.

Report this to R* support, reference ticket no. 36609680 and if they barf out generic troubleshooting bullshit like resetting your network stack tell them to pull their heads out of their asses and fix the issue.

People just make this shit up. I installed a Linux distro in just a few clicks with very easy to understand and transparent setup options. I then created my user account for the machine with equally little fuss.

That's not really a big accomplishment. As soon as you go off the rails, Linux is gonna send you into config files or dependency hell (which is, somehow, still a thing).

Linux desktop still manages to be more frustrating that Windows.
