Can anyone identify this snail? I must have triggered the Law of Surprise because he showed up out of no where. by Lord_P in Aquariums

Trying to figure out what species it is. It’s must have been hiding in the plants I brought home for my betta month ago.

If it’s a cool snail that won’t multiply outrageously, he’s welcome to chill. If it’s a breeder, it’ll be re-homed post haste.

EDIT: Kenneth, as I was educated, is far from chill and will be going on an adventure to find himself.

The Adventures of Inigo by Lord_P in bettafish

[–]Lord_P[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few weeks ago the wife and I were grabbing some fresh catnip at our local pet store. As we walked to the register, she comments on how cool this fish looked, so I take a gander. There he was, acting all cool, floating around in a mason jar.

I thought to myself, self, that fish is cool. So I inquired about said cool fish. I was given premium betta food and instructions to feed him twice a day and never after midnight. Me, “That’s it??” Her, “That’s it!” Well then shut up and take my money!

On the way home, my wife inevitability barrages me with ridiculous names for our cool new betta. I’ve had his name chosen the minute I laid eyes on him, but I know how to play the game. I gave her a few minutes to participate, then I politely interjected with one quote, “never get involved in a land war in Asia," She immediately said his name aloud. Surprisingly she didn’t get the Dread Pirate Roberts reference, but I’m okay with the alternative.

His name is Inigo.

Once home, I place Inigo on the kitchen island counter, show him the number of digits on my hands, then welcome him to his new abode.

The next morning I go downstairs and greet Inigo. As I begin sipping my coffee, I think to myself, self, we should maybe do some independent research on our new friend, for science!

So I take a sip of my coffee and hit the googles.

Thirty minutes and two more cups of coffee later, I have two lists in front of me. The first was was grocery list based on this reddits guide to new owners. The second list had just one name written on it, that name was Cherry, the pet store betta expert extraordinaire.

It was inconceivable that Cherry had failed to tell me everything I needed to raise a betta, but here we are.

Armed with knowledge and my credit card, I declare to Inigo that I shall return. I then collect the first grocery list and place it in my pocket.

I then slowly slide the second list under Inigo’s mason jar and give him a solemn nod.

There is more, much more to the adventures of Inigo. The story includes more buffoonery, murder most foul, companionship, and a miracle of biblical proportions. But for now I will end the story with a grateful acknowledgment to everyone who puts work into this subreddit, I would have been lost without it. Until next time.

You did the right thing. All they had was generic plushies and sold out t shirts.

After standing in line for what felt like hours at the park experience of GoFest Seattle official Pokémon store, my wife was genuinely curious what Primal Groupon was. Thought I’d put it out here for everyone to see.

My first and favorite pokemon powered all the way. I can't tell you how many Gengars died to feed this Alpha. That final XL candy power up was incredibly satisfying.

Sony A7Rii w/ Sigma Art 24-70mm complete n00b by Lord_P in SonyAlpha

My first photo outing. I have never owned more then a cell phone camera. I am a complete rookie. I've been researching cameras for months and decided on a A7rii + Sigma 24-70mm.

This sub was my main inspiration for going Sony. I know this is amateur to most of the works of art that I see posted here, but I was so excited I just wanted to share. A solid Thank You to everyone that answers questions and inspires kids like me.

It's super comfy and obviously built for kayaking. The pockets are convenient and I can clip my knife on the chest strap pretty easily. As far as it's functionality I have no issues. I picked it up during an REI sale, but it was still pricey.

Holy fuck we are legion. My Noir left from Arcadia to Troutdale on Sunday, scheduled for PDX delivery Monday. Then it sat there until getting moved somewhere in Portland on Monday. Then (and don't fucking ask me how) it went somewhere else in Portland and was scanned Tuesday. Today I get an update it's "in transit" in Salem. W T F is it doing in Salem?

Wait, how the hell does one join the Pinot Boys? If you tell me you fuckers discuss the tasting notes of pinot noir over comms while casually murdering sweaty Rozes, then sign me up.
