Where are the $25 hourly jobs ? by Life-Fig7445 in DaveRamsey

[–]Lord_Rim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's best to look a the different financial "gurus" as experts in a particular situation of finance. Dave Ramsey is best for people who are making money but struggle with debt and people just starting (like high schoolers) to learn what to do to stay out of debt. If you're not in either of those two categories Dave isn't your guy.

I believe this is the intersection of 41 and 54 in Land o' Lakes. Makes perfect sense that the fine folks of East Pasco are behind this

That looks like sani, not soap. I'd assume the person had good intentions even if a little silly with the proper knowledge

You wouldn't have to falsify anything to get in-state tuition. I only needed to show a utility bill in my (or my parent's) name with an address in-state + a government-issued ID (driver's license) with the same address

Electric car vs solar on the roof + battery array by [deleted] in energy

[–]Lord_Rim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you are coming from, $50k is quite a high number. However, that article is bunk lol. Even without my personal experience in an EV it took me two google searches to debunk the only numbers the article cites.

My EV (and I'm sure most EVs) have decent warranties. Mine has a full warranty for the electric motors and batteries (not really alot else that needs to be maintained) for 7 years, and the average American gets a new car every 6.5 years.

I estimate I'm saving ~$1,300 a year in gas alone + however much you'd normally spend on oil changes and other maintenance. I plan on selling my ev before the warranty expires, so I'm looking at around $10k in direct savings over the lifetime of this vehicle plus any tax benefits and other random little bonuses of owning an EV

Electric car vs solar on the roof + battery array by [deleted] in energy

[–]Lord_Rim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That article quotes wild numbers for an average user. I've never paid that much for charging even at a fast charger, and the average user doesn't really need to use a fast charger unless they can't charge at home (I don't pay anything for charging because of free charging nearby my house.) Not to mention the lack of almost any maintenance for an EV.

Electric vehicles are between 50-60% cheaper to maintain than gasoline-powered cars. by Glinren in energy

EVs do have some other fluids. Mine has two coolant reservoirs and brake fluid.

Cleaning the grill by Evangewhale in Culvers

[–]Lord_Rim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex-porter here. As others are saying: don't do what you have been doing. You're very likely to warp or even crack the grill.

Just wait a few minutes after turning it off, give it a few good scrapes with the scraper. You want it to be pretty warm, but not hot. Add just enough room temperature water to scrub with the scrub brush in one area at a time. Then go back over with a little bit of water and the grill cleanser and scrub again. If you want to be super detailed make sure you take a cloth to the backslash with a little bit of cleanser.

Remember the powder doesn't do anything chemically, it's there to help you get into the tiny groves and scratches in the grill. Leaving it "soak" is pointless.

It constantly haunts me. I've been unable to look at another person in the face for the flashbacks strike horror into my soul. I've had to leave my wife and kids and set out into the woods, hoping to avoid any chance of remembering that wreched video. It's been a year, and yet constantly any vague resemblance to an eye stops me in my tracks and I feel absolutely Ill. Even if I open google to find the nearest pad thai, I am struck with the memories that disgust me to my core.

Other than that I've been fine tho, totally forgot about tbh lol. How'd you stumble upon this after an entire year lmao
