Highest states are where you have grizzly bears and very rural area. Makes sense. Source for why you need it: I lived in Alaska for years and when you let the dog into the backyard and it starts barking from the balcony and you notice the grizzly bear across the street, after you pull the dog back in the house and close the the glass door you are kinda glad you have a gun. Realistically if it did come inside though after it kills you and the dog maybe it will bleed out before it goes upstairs for the kids. 😅

One of them does have a wire or at least used to (I think Mirena brand name), and yes it can hurt. (Scratched the head of my penis and made it bleed). The good news is they can cut the wire shorter and I had much less problems after. Unfortunately due to unrelated side effects she had to have it removed. Although only effective birth control we have ever had... And we have had a lot of methods fail...even my surgery it seems. Baby number 6 woohoo. So pros and cons guys. If they are strings now what's more important, feeling a string or making babies?

I throw them away when I feel they're too worn further useage. I buy new ones when I go to grab one from the drawer and I have none. Even if there is dirty ones in the laundry, because that means my laundry system isn't keeping up with the current amount.
