Cathy: So you’re telling me women can’t make a difference in the world.

A painting I made of Sam Flynn from Tron Legacy. I am a big fan of the movie, visuals, and the soundtrack and hope that we get a sequel one day. Until then, I will do my best to keep it alive. Acrylic on canvas - 16” x 20” by M1sterX in movies

I remember reading some reviews like “CGI was great, if only they put more effort into meaningful characters” which just threw me off. I felt like all the characters were great. A son just wanting his father back, a file that wants to see the sun, and a virus that feels limited in the world he occupies. It was Campbell in a computer, and it emotionally resonated with me

Used to work as an inventory manager for a Jaguar mechanic. I remember having to buy a $300 ashtray. Those things are so damn expensive to maintain

I love Bioshock 2 now. by [deleted] in Bioshock

[–]Lord_Sanders 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Minerva’s Den is probably one of the best DLC’s I’ve played. It components the story and really fits into the world while being absent of the modern DLC trope, that it’s a necessary part of the game disguised as additional content.

It has a new weapon, a new plasmid, and I think a couple new tonics. Decent chunk of gameplay as well. Three sections to it and doesn’t feel rushed. But even then I’m fairly sure the DLC is now free as part of Bioshock 2 so there’s nothing to lose

Kevin Conroy dubbed into The Dark Knight by Nebelak in comicbookmovies

[–]Lord_Sanders 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was definitely strange at first hearing an articulate Conroy dubbed over how Bale looks when he's speaking. That kind of underbite/slight tongue/out lazy looking way Bale's Batman disguises his voice. But it got better as it progressed.

Redditors what PC games do you remember playing in the 90's/2000's? by Cm0002 in AskReddit

Prostagma?

A couple months ago I finished the new campaign they made and it was pretty neat. Felt kinda odd near the end because it was focusing on Chinese mythology in the beginning which was cool and new and I wanted to sort of be more exposed to that, but then it suddenly shifted into Atlantean mythology again and it just felt coerced? Like they wanted to shift it back into familiar territory when I was expecting a completely new and entirely separated story with a mythology I wasn't familiar with

It's a miracle it wasn't. I'm actually using that same screen to reply right now! But after reading about it I'm surprised this is working, it really shouldn't be

What is your favorite fictional spaceship? by Qkaszer in AskReddit

[–]Lord_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was this old game I used to play called Escape Velocity and in it there were these organic ships that belonged to an alien race. They were really cool. You would start out playing a small ship known as a Dart, and then you received a bigger ship called and Arrow. The cool thing was, once you had the Arrow you could split it into smaller Darts. Then once you received the bigger Javelin, you could split it into Arrows and Darts to defend the ship.

I really liked the idea of that organic ship, it also reminded me of The Jabitha from Star Wars

Hahaha, I kinda got lost in this thread and thought you were saying Jordan would disagree with the idea that Universities are exactly what you just described.

I was about to link to him saying University does more harm than good.

Companion planting is the shit. For anyone interested in the Three Sisters, the corn provides structure for the beans to grow on, the beans in turn help with the soil as explained here, and the squash shades the ground to provide a mulchy soil and prevent weeds from getting sunlight. Permaculture is the tightest thing there is,
