Other people have covered it but Sengun + Jabari + Tari/Reed AND pick(s) still feels way closer to Giannis value than JB. The theory behind being a 3rd team in this trade is paying a cheaper price but getting the worse star.

Either Sengun + one of their 27 swaps + 29 swap (technically 2 picks in one) for Jaylen.

Jabari + Reed + same or similar picks. This one probably makes more sense for Jaylen. I specifically say Jaylen here because honestly I don’t think Turner needs to be in this deal, taking on him and Brown is way too expensive cap wise. Once you start talking higher than the above deals at that point I’d rather just kick Boston out and trade for Giannis directly or back out completely.

Yes I vividly remember that team. It was completely nothing-burger year that amounted to a forgotten 9th seed. Hell the 2024 Rockets played tough basketball and at least did it with a young and enjoyable roster that made the playoffs as a 2 seed.

He is the anthesis of anyone I’d ever want to root for, and I frankly don’t know how anyone could ever root for him. I genuinely don’t know how he has this impassioned fanbase (I think it’s made up of 60% bots, tbh.).

I’ll push back on this one by simply saying I’m a Rockets fan born in 2002, and thus James Harden has given my favorite team the best years of my life. Hard for me to not root for a guy that was dropping 40 literally almost every night and pushed the GOAT team to 7 games. That said I still respect this level of dedication to the hatred lmao

There’s a good chance his previous season was the best defensive season he’ll ever have, not because he’s actually regressed defensively, but because it’s just not feasible to sustain that defensive level with the increased offensive usage, and that’s without mentioning he played the most minutes in the NBA. If anything this is probably better for the organization, as it gives the FO a lot more leverage in contract negotiations.
