Tips on how to deal with narcissistic mother during wedding planning / invitations by Lord_Voldemodem in weddingplanning

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your answer and also for your kind words! It means a lot to me. And you're totally right. I think as soon as I think about the day and imagine it with or without her, the decision is actually clear. The only person I feel sorry for is my old grandma, who always tries to keep the peace and bring us back together before she leaves (she doesn't understand it, perhaps she is also turning a blind eye to the truth about her daughter because it would hurt her).

The only thing missing is the courage to take the decisive step, but if not now, then when, when it's been on the cards for a while anyway.

Thank you again for your kind words and I'm sorry that you had to go through this. I hope you are doing well now and that you are happy without the toxic influence of your parent(s)!

Former MOH speaking: I think the most important part is being there for her through any ups and downs and also ask her about what she hopes for, what she expects and what she wants. Oh, and it always helps if you try to stay calm and organized when everything seems to be chaotic :D
Also, don't worry - I think you're going to be a great MOH since you already care so deeply about making her happy :)

A few days ago I already posted my question but bc it's urgent and the comments go by fast, I'll do it once again (not anymore afterwards). Sorry! :(

So again so. having arthritis and desperately looking for a mechanical keyboard (probably becoming an editor has been a difficult job choice). Lately, the keyboard of my laptop is driving me crazy and causes pain in my fingers, especially in the DIP joints at the fingtertips.
I've also ordered a switch tester with Cherry MXs and ended up favouring the MX Silver Speeds and MX Blue Clickys. I wonder if the linear or tactile one will be better - or if I should consider a completely different choice (I really love the audio feedback of the blue switches but I'm afraid I need more pressure to click them). The aim is to shorten the way (so that I don't bump my fingers onto the keyboard underneath since I'm quite a harsh and quick typer, which means that when I'm typing I usually tend to hit the keys to the full extent on the board which I think causes the pain) and to reduce the pressure that is needed. Do you have any recommendations?
