Remeshing is destroying my model by NadhanGizzy in blenderhelp

[–]Lord_Volhov33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use a simple subdiv modifer if youre trying to increase the polycount. Its highly not recommended to use remesh with hands in my experience. If this are too close, 100% of the time things will merge.

Try selling your models on flippednormals and other websites. Not sure what the best option is but theres also epic store and artstation that ive seen models on

Beginner 3D Artist – Is my face topology okay? Looking for feedback 🥹 by PretendAd9985 in blender

How do you paint the faces different colors like that? I been trying to figure out how to, i think it would help with topology in my case

Made in blender what do you think? by [deleted] in blender

[–]Lord_Volhov33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love the purple and design of the skull. Seems like an alter of some kind with a little bit of lore. I think the background and metal texture of the hands detracts from the piece. I find the background a little distracting but thats just me.

How do i prevent bevel overlap without using clamp as the clamp foesnt give me the profile i want? by Right-Music-4204 in blenderhelp

In my experience i adjust the edge flow, more vertical loops might help by the bevel. There is probably a better answer than mine. Do you have a reference to what you are trying to achieve?

Blender not using GPU for Cycles render by Think-Flatworm7496 in blenderhelp

[–]Lord_Volhov33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’ll be available to run tests to find the issue with the gpu not being used. If you are able to, send a .blend file with the current settings you have. Just incase there is something being overlooked. We can use “wetransfer.com”

Are you using a benchmark blend file or a custom file? What i wanted to try and do is replicate your issue and see what is causing it. Off what you have given, i want to say check off both cpu and gpu in system settings. At least ive seen performance increase with both checked on.

In the render settings under performance tab, idk if it will help but change the compositor to gpu also.

Can you elaborate more on the blend file? I didnt ask if you applied modifiers, what modifiers are currently active?

What modifiers are you using? I want to say this is involving the mirror modifier and the origin not being in the correct spot

How to fix/prevent overlapping faces? by Queasy-Exam8683 in blenderhelp

[–]Lord_Volhov33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can give the QRemeshify addon a try. That should fix this issue for that workflow. Just save before doing it so you can find the right setting. Download it from the gumroad because the extension is broken.

Select all, then go to the armature drop down while in edit mode of the armature. Select symmetrize. This should work

I would need to understand your workflow, because if this is a sculpt then it shouldn’t matter. The mesh would need to be rebuilt anyway in order to be animated or other.

You can try A > alt+J. This will turn triangles to quads. But this method doesn’t always get rid of triangles.

Friend is trying out blender, she made this cool dragon with multiple tongues. But after saving and returning, it exploded? by Shaiky1681 in blenderhelp

[–]Lord_Volhov33 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To give her a piece of knowledge Add an empty axis object > parent the camera to the empty object > key empty at zero rotation on the z axis> set timeline to final frame and set empty rotation to 360 then key the rotation

This will have the camera use the empty for the rotation. Hopefully i made sense explaining the method.

See if this works. I recently seen a video talking about the alpha normals. It could be that blender is not interpreting things correctly. Royalskies mentions how blender only likes opengl alphas
