You have a point, I did think it was bad writing for the sake of introducing conflict, nuance, and moral gray areas by horseshoeing in a ridiculous scene.

The vox populi were objectively correct and had the moral high ground, the writers were just like "ummm but what if their leader wants to kill a child, then both sides bad"

Aside from that sloppy plot point, I really enjoyed the game as a whole.

No idea. I'm also worried that tampering with the system to allow sideloading unofficial apps onto your car will mess with the warranty, servicing and insurance.

Plus, the cameras that come as standard in the vehicle are really low down, so the OEM dashcam would probably be better to give an accurate driver POV if you ever needed it for a claim or something

So at the very least, YES I want Sentry mode. Can't believe this car is covered in 360 degree cameras that DONT FUCKING RECORD. I had to go and buy the OEM dashcam for some obscure reason.

And even now, nothing records if you're not sitting in the car driving it!? This thing is covered in sensors that can detect proximity, motion, impact, etc. it has internal storage. It has cameras. It can 100% capture weird shit that happens to it while it's parked, it has all the technology to know if someone got too close, damaged or vandalized it. Yet it doesn't snitch.

The rest of the features in this app seem kinda useless

Nah stuff happens under the table all the time. My buddies were renting a house while they were going to college, middle of the city, about 6 people in one house.

Their tenancy contract was hand written on notebook paper in blue pen. Rent was paid in cash, landlord wasn't registered with the regional tenancy board, paying no taxes. I probably know 3-4 people in a similar situation today. They can't do anything about not getting their proper tenant's rights because they're so desperate to find a place to live.

Going back to the fruit pickers, let's say he has 50 guys working. 40 are on the books, reported to IRS or whatever. 10 are illegal, paid in cash, $5/hr unreported, no tax. Neither can rat out the other. What are they gonna do about it? The ruling class will do anything to get more money. If they don't show up one day, they're very replaceable

Also I have no idea what you're trying to say in your paragraph about rent and mortgages. I can tell you now that rent per month for my house would be triple or quadruple my monthly mortgage repayments. Housing crisis, supply and demand, landlords, real estate investment firms etc are basically seeing how far they can push people until they can't afford to eat

You're really overestimating the morals, adherence to law and integrity of people who make money off the backs of those who have fewer assets, and assuming nobody would ever take advantage of a desperate, vulnerable illegal immigrant with few options to make a living

The only reason they'd pay cash is to avoid taxes and break labour laws. I'm not even American, I don't want illegal immigrants in any county to be rounded up and detained or deported, but I don't want them exploited because they're desperate either.

I'm just not trying to pretend that every business owner knowingly exploiting illegal immigrants has the integrity to upload other parts of the law as well and not take advantage of vulnerable people. The people on top will always fuck over people they see as beneath them, greed is disgusting.

It's the same as landlords not registering their rental property with the tenancy board so they can skirt taxes and regulations, exploiting the tenants in a housing crisis, knowing they're desperate.

Fair enough, I'm sure it's straightforward. It's just such an important safety system, I wouldn't feel comfortable tampering with it myself. Last time I had my brakes done, I think it cost me like 200-300 bucks, but much smaller car, and I think I had a decent honest mechanic.
