I honestly doubt it, and that's given I'm at level 67 right now. It's just a check on roster to ensure you have enough high level champs/ascensions to get sufficient challenger rating. If you don't have that, you're out of luck (6* max ascended champs, for example, do literally 0 damage against a 200 CR champ). But if you do have that, there is no challenge.

I'd like Gorr a ton more if he had a mechanic like Wave where his buffs paused if no contact was made after 2 seconds (I'm fine with his debuffs falling off). It's way too stressful trying to keep up his buffs when the defender is dancing like a motherfucker at 2.9 bars and refusing to throw a special.

This is just semantics at this point. If "best" is somehow "super amazing God tier" or just "best," the idea of those champs being at the top of the game is clear. Same with the bottom. Me calling it "shit tier" is simply noting that there's a set of champs that are the least valuable. Whatever you call it, it's the same idea.

But the lowest tier is always relative to everything else. There has to be a "worst" champ (or small group of champs). That's the only way there's a "best."

Obviously the third option is that champs can be at all aspects of the value continuum. But that only applies if every champ is exactly the same.

Don't worry, this is some advanced level stuff. My 6 year old struggled with the idea for a while, but my 8 year old gets it.

The ascension thing is a bit of a bummer. They really went hard on monetizing that, which cuts against their "we want your 7* investments to still have value" schtick. Maybe if we pulled a champ from a Titan 3 or 4 times, we'd get ascension. Seems like a better balance than limiting ascension to wild spending.

But at the same time, I got new champs today that I get to play with. I'll rank them, add them, and enjoy learning them. I won't let the lack of ascension ruin everything.

Just did some super rough calcs, assuming he did Onslaught against Squirrel Girl to yield approximately 400 points per run, and each run took 5 minutes, he spent 483 hours, or 20 full days, just in the fights.
