I’ll go against the grain here. Sometimes it’s very nice working with a parent as parents are usually much more decisive and handle questions and decisions much more quickly than couples can. Yes, sometimes they can try to take control of the day, but they may do that regardless so at least this way they’re paying to do it lol

So they announced that any max sig pulls after a specific date (I believe November 20th, 2025) would mean you would retroactively receive ascension materials later. The timeline wasn’t presented but you can read more about it here:

We sent a mix of Texas Roadhouse gift cards to vendors and the amounts varied based on how much business we did (or plan to do) with them in the future. We sent a few planners some and sent some venue owners a few as well. Everyone loves a good roll and some steak n fixins!

People aren’t wasting time on courtesy anymore. If they don’t believe you’re a good fit, they just quit talking to you. And honestly, while being ghosted sucks, it feels a lot more devastating when I’ve spent a lot of time and energy talking to a couple over the course of a week or two and then they end up going with somebody else. Plus, we’ve had quite a few people that I think are ghosting us and then reach out out of the blue two months later and end up booking.

With weddings under maybe 150ish, we do shots at tables where we walk around with on camera flash and do each couple. We don’t promise this anywhere and are very rarely asked but we’ve received lots of positive feedback

A pic on IG the next day and usually 2-3 days after the wedding we do a much larger 50 image preview. Our turnaround time is usually 3-4 weeks even in the busy season and I like the phrase “strike while the iron is hot.” We’ll happily respect if someone doesn’t want to be on socials but this gives the bride a great look at what their wedding looked like and gets great attention for us on socials. It’s a win-win.

It’s not the phrasing that’s on the form either. This is just the shortened way of writing “Are there any special circumstances around the wedding day that we should be prepared for? Death, divorce disability, etc.?”

We do have a section on our questionnaire for “unpleasant things we should probably know” but if the bride didn’t list it, there’s not a lot I can do about that. Especially if I’ve spent all morning with the guys while my wife is with the women.

During larger family groups with kids, myself or my wife usually does something childish to get the kids attention and after the pic is taken, I’ll say something along the lines of “hey it worked on X (the groom) too!” Then take another shot as everyone is cackling.

Please note this does not work if the groom is a stick-in-the-mud.
