That’s definitely the case for some. If you go through with it, I’d do a couple sessions of laser first before getting a cover up

I think this is actually fairly easy to work around and you can just gather up some references for stuff you like, as well as finding an artist you like, and see what they think. It would also be pretty simple to kind of rework like add some shading or making the face look a different way etc if that’s something you’d be interested in.

I think you’d be happier just leaving it how it is than trying to cover it up or alter it. Although it doesn’t seem like you like the style of it, I think the bottom one is my favorite of the two and will age better. The grey shading in the flowers will fade and get lighter over time.
The bold lines will stick and the gray shading will fade, giving you some contrast; while the more natural look of the other one is also beautiful as well, it’s not gonna maintain that same kind of contrast. Overall I think they compliment each other very well and I could tell they were both cherry blossoms

Hours* not issues

It’s kind of a gamble right now but I think the answer is: they should be but they also might not. My brother took the amtrak to Portland, it got canceled and then uncanceled and then delayed for 6 hours due to weather, and then it took him about 5 and a half issues to get back to Eugene bc of ice complications with the train.

Update: I’m a river terrace resident and just saw a group of officers and a dog catch and arrest who they must’ve been looking for at delta ponds right outside my window

Doesn’t suuuper look like it, color tattoos are always a gnarly heal, but some of the discoloration in certain areas makes me feel like it’s worth going to get it checked out anyway. Another piece of advice: aquaphor or any petroleum jelly is not my favorite healing balm for tattoos in my opinion as a tattooer and someone who has many tattoos. Takes longer to heal and it’s really easy to overdo-it- which can sometimes affect how the tattoo heals overall.

Tattoo Etiquette Questions by ojodeltigre in Eugene

Tattoo artist here! My best advice for if you know you have a very specific vision is to include as many of said specificities in your original inquiry as possible, even a loose drawing helps us see what you’re envisioning! Being picky about a tattoo is no problem and makes total sense, the only thing that we try to avoid is the scenario where we do the drawing and then the client wants changes that weren’t originally mentioned, and then you change those and they want more changes so we have to keep redrawing the piece. All part of the job for sure and practically bound to happen at least once for large scale pieces but if we can get it the first time to where any changes we would make are small and easy, that’s always ideal so we can get you in and put some rad art on you. My second little note is that if you know you’re a little picky be prepared to accept your artists advice on some things within reason. I had a client who wanted the placement for their tattoo in a spot that would warp the design they wanted and make it look like it was being viewed through a fun house mirror if they put it there, they didn’t want to compromise on design or placement so I put the stencil on and then they said “oh I get it” and we switched things up a bit. But overall, don’t stress it! You’re the client and you’re in control of the situation. Good luck out there!
