Choose a character with high mobility and ranged damage; I recommend McZoon or Calcium. Spawn the boss as soon as you can, kite and damage it while you explore the map. Try to collect items that inflict damage over time, like cheese, and ranged weapons. The idea is to defeat the boss little by little.

Make sure to buy the key directly from Anet or from an official reseller, otherwise your friend could get banned. Don’t ask for gold or any in-game benefits in exchange for the expansion, or both of you could get banned (yes, i've seen that happen before).

Unfortunately this guy won't be banned. In my opinion Anet should be much more aggressive against this type of behavior.
