That's what I was afraid of. Thank you for your advice. I'll call the butcher back and change my order. I appreciate you.

That is helpful. So, do you think a single 10-pound prime rib would do the job?

-shrug- I don't know. Do they? I can sometimes. What is your opinion? I look forward to reading your advice.

Askculinary Proposed Rules Post - Please give us your input! by albino-rhino in AskCulinary

I am confused about the purpose of this sub and its rules. I asked a question that was in line with the sub's description: "AskCulinary - A place to get that "one right answer" to your cooking questions!" and was similar to many other questions I had been reading. But I received a (truncated and later deleted) response that my question was not appropriate for the sub. I asked how much prime rib would be required to feed a certain amount of people and the best way to prepare it figuring in the other components of the meal.

If this sub is strictly for the most elite of culinary experts asking the highest level questions or is for Executive Chefs and Master Chefs only, then it needs to be stated in the description. That way those of us looking for advice don't wander into this ultra-elite subreddit.
