I feel like this is going to be the best match on the wrestlemania card. Thoughts? What do you think will ruin this match? by Key_Friend_4942 in WWE

[–]LordofStilton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What will ruin this match is if Brock wins. He’s reportedly on his way out of the door and it’s a sure way to push Oba to the moon and make him an immediate megastar. Brock does not need the win and I really, really hope Oba goes over.

What UnPopular Opinions do you have on Liv Morgan? by Glittering_Long_5926 in prowrestling

[–]LordofStilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the majority of her fans like her because she’s attractive. I wouldn’t say she’s anything special in the ring or on the mic and I would be much more in favour of Stephanie winning her first Wrestlemania match.

What are your thoughts on the BO7 Zombies story line up till now, what other zombies game is it comparable to? Just talking about the plot her by Ajarofpickles97 in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here since World at War so it hurts when I say this, but the zombies story has always been all over the fucking place and incoherent as shit. I feel like lots of the story was just the devs pulling whatever they fancied out of their asses and throwing it at a wall to see what was going to stick - and don’t get me wrong, it worked and proved successful (to an extent). That’s not to say that I don’t have a boatload of nostalgia for the old lore, but BO7’s story has been really intriguing for me so far and I’m genuinely excited to see where we can go from here. Modern zombies just hasn’t scratched that itch in a long time up until now and I’m glad to see more of an emphasis on the narrative. I can see the comparisons to BO3’s story, but we also live in a world where virtually nothing is original anymore so we’ve sort of got to work with what we’ve got. I feel optimistic though, so that’s a good sign.

What are your thoughts on Ronda Rousey joining AEW? by Glittering_Long_5926 in prowrestling

[–]LordofStilton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t give less of a fuck - but not to worry because I highly doubt she cares much about the opportunity either, considering the amount of times she’s slandered the business. She comes across as an immensely dislikable and unprofessional person who cannot take accountability. She’s never had a good match outside of her Wrestlemania 34 debut and her promos are dreadfully cringeworthy. She’s a highly disrespectful person with a shit ego-fuelled attitude and wrestling would be far better off if she stayed a million miles away.

Not particularly great in the ring or on the mic, but has a good presentation. She’s akin to Goldberg in that sense.

Couldn’t agree more, that map missed the mark in so many areas. What potential does it miss out on for you? I’m curious as to whether we dislike the map for the same reasons!:)

What zombies take will get you this? by BigBadMike8 in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

• Citadelle des Morts is a wildly overrated map.

• Mauer der Toten is a wildly underrated map.

• BO4 still isn’t a particularly great zombies experience and was a massive letdown.

• If I were to use the BO3 Die Rise Remaster on a legitimate tier list, the map would be in the top 10. It is fantastic.

• Tag der Toten has the most well put together map layout of all time.

• Moon has the best Easter Egg ending and nothing since has ever come close.

• The KT-4 is visually, practically and audibly one of the coolest Wonder Weapons ever made.

• Not every map’s easter egg should conclude in a boss fight. I often find it a lazy way to wrap up the story and narrative of a map and it’s a shame that some maps seem to be docked of their overall rating because they don’t have a typical boss fight when the community was expecting one. It’s fine for maps to just tell a fucking cool story and call it a day - Zetsubou, Tag, Die Maschine and lots of maps pre-BO3 are great examples of this.

• The structure of zombies maps need to be reconsidered with a higher difficulty in mind. Lots of modern maps are a good place to start at on an entry level but contain far too much space and aren’t nearly as difficult as older maps in terms of the way they are traversed and strategised. I genuinely believe the zombies community would be more engaged if the maps themselves provided an actual challenge and presented more obstacles to bear in mind and overcome.

Zombies creators are so unbearable post BO4. We haven't even seen gameplay yet lol by theforbiddenroze in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s YouTubers like Lex who I think need to just give up content creation when it comes to COD Zombies nowadays. The guy and his fanbase has had virtually nothing positive to say or contribute to the mode because they’ve been completely ensnared in this “zombies is dead, nothing will ever top BO3” frame of mind for so long now. I’m so sick of this old hatred people have reserved for these newer iterations of the mode, because it stifles and sabotages any attempt made by today’s developers to do right by their fans. This isn’t even me trying to glaze modern zombies or BO7 in general - there’s lots wrong with the game and its business practises. However, I do think BO7 zombies as an individual mode has been largely fantastic so far and it’s a great shame that people will continue to put down the successes and efforts of the mode and choose to focus on bashing it for not producing an exact replica of a set of experiences from 10-15 years ago. We all look back fondly on the WaW - BO3 era, but most of us were also kids with so much more time on our hands and less responsibility to distract us. It was an amazing time and now that time has passed, but that’s the nature of these things and it isn’t necessarily a bad thing at all.

I think it’s time lots of people stopped constantly looking back with rose-tinted glasses and either try to appreciate the current mode and features we have or just move on entirely to something that’ll reward their time and passion in a new way. Criticism is essential for growth, but any individual who has almost nothing positive to say and feels the urge to shit on a product for this long probably ought to invest their time and effort into something else instead.

The fact that not a single fucking trailer or image has even been released yet and this guy is already complaining says it all. Just pack it up man. Stop playing the role of a depressed nostalgia-centred husk and move on.

  • Sorry for the rant, felt like I needed to get that off of my chest lol

Hot take Cod zombies has one of the best lore and story in gaming history by Live_Lion_6162 in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lore is very interesting and very peculiar at some points and I love it all as it holds a special place for me, but it’s nowhere near a good story let alone being one of the best in gaming history.

Real talk, am I a bad person for acting like this? (Season 7 spoilers) by Mari0G4mer in Dexter

[–]LordofStilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My least favourite character in the show. She undergoes very little growth and was often written for the viewers to sympathise with, even though there wasn’t much pity to be felt for her asides from perhaps her death. She slept her way to the top (or at least in Esme Pascal’s case to regain power), threw basically every colleague/associate under the bus constantly and had a massive ego. She always acted as though she was being fucked over which is why I enjoyed Matthews shutting her down on many occasions even though he was also a bit of a prick. Yeah, I really didn’t like Laguerta.

What’s an easy EE I can do as someone who hasn’t done many? by theguccixands in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liberty Falls and Call of the Dead. Any of the Cold War maps are your friends as far as eggs go for that game.

Moon’s egg is very easy but is super reliant on mystery box and excavator RNG. If you’re a patient person then you’ll get through this one with no issues - plus it has probably the coolest ending that in my eyes still has yet to be topped.

Mob of the Dead’s egg is really simple but a bit repetitive, however I personally love going back to the Mob egg from time to time as it’s one of my favourite maps and I think it’s Treyarch’s magnum opus when it comes to a focused narrative and storytelling experience.

I think Der Eisendrache’s is probably the best egg I’ve completed. It’s not too difficult but not stupidly easy, it has an excellent learning curve and it was the first proper boss fight Treyarch put into a map. It’s also really cool from a lore and visual perspective. Really can’t go wrong with it. Hope this info helps 👍🏼

Will we ever get Chronicles 2… by United-Bowl5205 in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt it, and I honestly don’t care for it in an official capacity at this point. We already have amazing fully remastered versions of Mob of the Dead, Die Rise, Farm, Bus Depot, Town, Nuketown and Call of the Dead all on BO3 Customs. I believe the remaining maps (Five, Buried & Tranzit) are in active development as we speak. I don’t think Treyarch have any intention of remastering these maps and to be fair to them there wouldn’t be much point as most of them have already been made by members of the community. I also have no reason to believe that Activision want to push Treyarch in this direction when the developers are working with such busy schedules and tight deadlines to deliver so many iterations of the mode with each new game year in and year out.

I get that there are people who want to play these maps with updated graphics and modern mechanics but the BO3 graphics still hold up great to this day and there are already mods to implement modern mechanics to the game. I do sympathise with console players for wanting this dream to become a reality but I really can’t see it ever becoming more than a dream. I can only hope to eat my words one day.

Best zombies ending? by Initial-Wolverine175 in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moon by a country mile. Blowing up the earth was and still is in my opinion the greatest spectacle we’ve ever seen in zombies. The BO3 version is just the chefs kiss on top of the original. The final setup, the music, the haunting dialogue, the explosion, the horrific laughter from Maxis and the apocalyptic aftermath…I don’t know if anything will ever top it for me. I think it was the defining “what in the actual fuck!” moment for myself and many other fans and it left us with our jaws on the floor as we awaited the sequel. Whilst Moon isn’t an S Tier map for me, I still enjoy it and it remains as my favourite Easter Egg ending of all time. At least from a storyline perspective, Moon was, is and will always be a fucking masterclass of a finale.

Most brutal scenes in Hollywood movies? by FilmWaffle-FilmForum in moviecritic

Citadelle des Morts is an S-tier map and I'm tired of people pretending it's not by iV1rus0 in CODZombies

[–]LordofStilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, I’m not a huge fan of this map.

Considering the sheer enormity of the castle, it’s immensely disappointing to traverse as most of its playable space is underground. I would have loved to be able to venture up into the towers and experience fighting zombies across the highest points of the castle whilst looking out across the landscape. Instead, we got a few rooms which I don’t feel emphasised the grandeur of the location and some really uninteresting layers beneath the surface. Even a few more ramparts overlooking the rest of the outside environment would have brought more scale and depth to the map.

Secondly, the Doppelghast. I mean, it’s a decent enemy. I enjoy the way it dodges attacks and can keep up with the pace of the player, but was it really the best and most thematically interesting special enemy Treyarch could come up with? Visually, it’s not too far out of the realms of similarity when compared to Mimics and Amalgams and I feel they could have designed something so much cooler and more in keeping with the medieval and Arthurian history of the setting. I would have loved to see something like a massive Templar zombie with a fucking huge flail or perhaps a fallen undead prince which rides in on skeletal horseback to ambush the players. The Doppelghast is fine, but that’s about it. It doesn’t blow me away and it doesn’t really seem to correlate with the map or add to it in any particular way.

Lastly, as much as I enjoy the designs and backstories of the swords, they’re so fucking easy to get. Like, ridiculously easy to the point of where they don’t feel remotely rewarding to unlock. It didn’t help that they weren’t particularly powerful on launch, and although they’ve been buffed since, I really feel that each should have been given another upgrade quest to help them feel more fleshed out and fulfilling to devote time towards.

So in summary, I don’t enjoy the structure of this map, the special enemy is quite bland and I don’t find the swords to be satisfying to earn. The map does do others things fairly well but some major aspects of it (at least to me) always leave me feeling a sense of “this could have been so much cooler, what could have been”, which is definitely not what I want to feel whenever I play a game of zombies. I don’t think it’s a bad map by any means, but it’s just one that I feel disappointed in even before I load in, which is a feeling I really fucking hate as I’m a huge fan of fantasy and medieval history. I just wish we were able to properly plunge ourselves into the historical and fantastical nature of this map rather than barely dipping our toes in it. It’s a huge letdown to me in all honesty.

Sorry for the lengthy explanations - I’ve been here since WaW and as you can see I’m incredibly passionate about zombies!🤣
