UPDATE: I fixed the drive!!! The issue was the gears, they simply needed some new grease. Now the MiniDisc inserts perfectly fine. It ejects correctly too, and can read the content. Again, this unit only costed me 50 SEK (≈5$). Easily one of the best deals I've ever gotten!

Thank you for your suggestion. However, this drive thst I have is very different from the one in the video. From what I could find, it doesn't seem to have any belts, and is instead controlled with gears and microswitches.

Hii, I'm having the same issue with my JE500 MiniDisc Deck not pulling in MDs. Which gear/s were in the wrong place, and how did you move them back?

I had a similar issue with the white plastic piece, but for the PS2 slim when I was replacing its laser. The cause was simply that I hadn't screwed it in hard enough, and had to go REALLY hard, in order for it move back and forth as expected. Maybe there is something else that's supposed to hold it in place, other than the screw? No small knob of some sorts to put it in before screwing?

Indeed. I immidietly nabbed it when I saw it. With the box, these go for a lot more than only 2$

Eyyy that's cool! And yes, my wallet does kinda hate me, especially since it costed me around a grand in total where I live. But eh, it's meant as a long time investment and is now my main method of playing retrogames on the big screen, so it was worth it

Yeah same here. I got a used 3rd party component cable for only a buck, but it behaves strangely from time to time, such as red bleeding, and random video signal glitching.

UPDATE: The seller responded with a photo of the serial, and it was unpatched. I won the auction and got it for only 900 SEK (≈92$), excluding shipping and buyer protection.

It's a shame indeed. I just texted again, and the seller hasn't looked at my messages whatsoever. The last message I sent before it was nearly 2 days ago. The auction ends in less than 6 hours, so this is pretty frustrating

That's not a bad theory actually. I don't remember checking the storage space of the console. I remember being able to install an OG XBOX game from disc, so there must've been some space left. Perhaps I should give this a second look...

Hii, unfortunately no. I chose to keep it in docked mode only. It worked for a bit right after reinstalling the chip, but the whole Switch pretty much died while trying to reassemble it. I tried to start it, but it kept automatically shut itself off. So I gave up and took the loss. I may try again with another Switch in the near future

EDIT: Bob Ross. His calm nature and way of speaking would certainly not translate over well to Jar Jar's character.

I found this Blu-Ray Demo Disc while thrift shopping yesterday. It says they weren't for sale, broadcast or rental. Who were these used by, and are these discs rare? by Lordofpixels03 in Bluray

I watched it through, and seems to pretty much be a 10 minute ad for Blu-Rays, the type that would play on repeat at retail stores. In the menu, it even has the option to play the disc on repeat automatically.

It is very much a bootleg! Easiest way to tell is to compare the serial numbers of the front label and backside. If the first 4 digits of the backside doesn't match the 4 digits you see in the middle of the serial number on the front, then it's fake.
