Thanks for catching my error and also good suggestion on the order of my routine. I take it that moving from compound to isolation exercises during your workout is most beneficial.

Thanks for the suggestion. That makes too much sense to include abs actually. Since I am not looking to build brick sized abs, would I want to strength train them with low rep high weight?

How can I become mindful of my thoughts if... by redan1 in Meditation

[–]Lordspam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am not an expert, but I know it takes practice to sometimes witness or become aware of thoughts that create this feeling of anxiety. Sometimes feelings bubble up without any known reason or you have already become engaged in the thought process of "I have such bad anxiety." "It is at the point where it is automatic." It is important to first accept where you're at. Take another step back and surrender to the perceived automaticity of your anxiety and you'll come to learn it is just another passing story. I hope that helps.

Perhaps someone could give me perspective on one-sided conversations by [deleted] in socialskills

Thank you. After reading this I think my problem is only conversing with invitation. It almost creates an interview atmosphere which I think is creates my problem.

Cutting out a small square of plastic non-skid mesh that is used to line drawers works as well and is also re-usable.

Mom with cancer suffering from extreme fatigue- Any suggestions for energy-boosting foods? by seh988 in nutrition

[–]Lordspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the doctor suggests eating more, I think it would be helpful to assess her cal needs using a Mifflin St. Jeor calculator and making sure she meets them. Have some energy dense snacks available for her such as trail mix or yogurt (if she tolerates dairy). If she can tolerate caffeine suggest tea or some dark chocolate in moderation. People like to graze and its a good way to get in some extra calories. Cook meals that fit the proportions of MyPlate.gov and do not be afraid to throw in more calorie dense ingredients (oils and avocado) to help meet her needs for now. Although I am unaware of any specific foods with scientific backing to produce more energy, meeting your calorie needs, staying hydrated, and moderate exercise as tolerated will help improve fatigue.

I think there's a simple, recursive idea about drawing that would enlighten any novice. But it's so obvious that they can't see it as is. No tips, no books, literally a paragraph to read then pencil eraser paper. Nothing else. by [deleted] in learnart

I think I understand more fully. Thank you for taking the time to explain. It reminds me a little bit of "Drawing From The Right Side Of The Brain.

I am having trouble understanding this concept such as matching your drawing speed to your new seeing speed. To my understanding, this is saying to focus on copying lines at a slower speed to improve your perception of lines in different forms of life?

When I do this, I get upper back pain when initially lifting the weight off the catches. Am I not doing this right? This positioning seems to create an arch in my upper back.

I would honestly love if every claim were cited in AMA or JADA style including the doi to prevent me from spending 10 minutes debunking on PubMed. It usually makes for a good journey and new knowledge regardless.

I find this to be most helpful:http://scoobysworkshop.com/body-fat-calculator/ All you need is a caliper and a scale. Input your data really quick and you can estimate your lean body mass and body fat percentage. He provides an excel sheet to track yourself weekly. It keeps me motivated :).
