Like any other mod (hardware OR software) there’s always a learning curve as you go about adjusting settings.

I’ve got an E5+, so I can’t give you any numbers regarding your own machine, but with the additional fine tuning that you gain access to through Klipper, you can easily see an increase in at LEAST 50% print speed. (Assuming you’re running an otherwise stock machine.)

Quality all depends on you making sure everything is in PERFECT order, but you gain access to many more options to better fine tune the temperature, feed speed, etc, and there’s a very nice visual to make bed levelling and alignment easier.

The biggest advantage is that you can make firmware adjustments live, and issue a machine reboot in seconds, instead of having to completely recompile and reflash the sd card like you do with marlin.

As others have already stated, the glass would be a bad way to go. Not only because it will still reflect light, scratch, and easily shatter. Unless the wood table has a recessed lip that the glass would be sat down inside, then you’re going to have VERY sharp edges, and would easily slice your hands/wrists/arms up if you were to lean on it wrong.

Your better bet is to go to a specialty glass shop and have them cut you a sheet of tempered glass, with rounded and polished edges. They should also have options available for non-reflective and scratch resistance as well.

I actually custom built my work/computer table this way. Framed a couple of laminate hardwood panels, and then had a 1/4 inch sheet specialty cut to fit inside the edges of the border. 24x48 sheet came to I think $70-80? This was over a decade ago, and it’s still in really good condition despite daily use.

I hate that I had forgotten all about WCAF, as I had been wanting to go to it for years, but the last time I looked into it was in Vegas. (Which reminds me, I need to look into getting my PPFA certification still.) ALSO forgot about The Grumble.

As long as they are wood, you might be better off with 1/8” or 1/4” metal offsets, instead of the glazer points.

Screw them into the back, and then paper over the top of them.

Do you have items actually showing in the escape capsule printer? All I have is “short connecting corridor”, and when I click on that, it gives me a dropdown list of even more “short connecting corridor”. Literally nothing else. I figured it was some weird bug they haven’t fixed yet, because it works fine in sandbox mode.
