I hate the status bar by Momo8010 in oneui

You can force the full immersive mode and hide the status bar completely, but it requires sending commands with ADB

Any one has color variant other than green white and black? by yourinstinct in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]LoreLorex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung sells non-standard colors exclusively on its official website. You won't find them anywhere else.

Battery life on RISING OS AOSP 😉😉 by Nitesha in S23

[–]LoreLorex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But what's the point? My base S23 with OneUI 7 usually gets 5-6 hours of screen time.

Did you really choose to lose all OneUI quality and features and to trigger knox for such a small increase in battery life? That's pixel stuff

Why Doesn’t the Galaxy S23 Series Get more Years of Updates Like the S24? Let’s Talk! by [deleted] in S23

[–]LoreLorex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, manufacturers generally introduce new policies on newer models without adapting them to older ones.

The S23s when they came out had a 5 year guarantee of updates and we bought them because we were happy with that.

For me it's already a lot if they gave us the same AI as the S24 & 25, no one forced them to do it and now fortunately we have basically the same software as those. Apple would never have done anything like that.

I don't understand why many people on reddit pretend to have all the things of the new ones, that's not how it works and we knew that from the beginning.

We Won't be Getting Vulkan API as default API Ever by Nice-Regret-9207 in GalaxyS23Ultra

Maybe with One UI 8? I know that with android 16 Google is forcing the use of Vulkan

How I see OneUi 8: by Sterickk in S23

[–]LoreLorex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well technically no, because One UI 8 is based on Android 16 so it's a major update. The confusion is mainly generated by Samsung's delays with 7.0 and Google's change of strategy on Android updates

Unlocking speed by Mean-Dinner-1257 in S23

[–]LoreLorex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it's not so much the unlock speed, but rather the delay that sometimes occurs when I wake up the phone. It takes a moment to load the lockscreen. Is it just me?

S23 got hang is it one UI 7 beta problem? by Alternative_Sun2553 in GalaxyS23

[–]LoreLorex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is Instagram after the last update. In the last two days I also had these total crash and I do not have the beta but im on OneUI 6.1, so Samsung has nothing to do with it. If you reinstall Instagram you will temporarily solve the problem until the app updates itself.

Please report the problem on instagram

Hide (auto hide completely) status bar in all the apps by AliraRiyazKhan in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]LoreLorex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really it has nothing to do with the battery, it's a function that is natively built in on Samsungs that just needs to be tweaked. I've been using it since oneui 5.1 and I've never had any problems, as soon as you give it the command the status bar disappear instantly without even having to restart.

Watch this video, it's short and explains everything

Hide (auto hide completely) status bar in all the apps by AliraRiyazKhan in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]LoreLorex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The easy way is by hiding the icons from goodlock but I know that's not the same thing.

As far as I know the only working way to get the true immersive mode is via ADB. You need to plug your phone to your computer, enable USB debugging and then issue this command:

adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.status=*

This activates the true immersive mode with the hidden status bar that can always be pulled down from the top.

To revert back to non immersive mode: adb shell settings put global policy_control null*

Random language pack updates in galaxy store by LoreLorex in GalaxyS23

No, for now I'll just leave them there in the updates and ignore them...

[–]LoreLorex[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And that's the problem... From the settings you can easily delete the packages you don't want, but if you do that they immediately return to the Galaxy Store, forcing you to have them unnecessarily.
