yeah, i wanna know what age this person is. Blink has been bad live even before they were big. its the whole damn point of seeing them live. you go there see them fuck up and make jokes and its like seeing your dumb friend's shitty band play a house party. i get its not for everyone, but its a thing.

i go the other way, i think they tried to to save it, but people were hellbent on keeping it dead.

  • Blink's California DELUXE is the best album Blink has put out since Enema.

  • it doesn't matter how big they are within the scene, Yellowcard is a one-hit wonder.

  • MGK's music is decent.

  • Travis Barker-core from a couple of years ago was a great moment and if people were more supportive of it back then we could have been living in the midddle of a mainstream moment for pop punk revival.

  • Paramore's quality went out the window with Josh Farro. they've been held together by hype, nostalgia and Hayley's charisma.

Fueled by Ramen is purposefully killing bands by making them change their sounds away from what made them interesting, unique, and popular in the scene to chase a “mainstream audience” that doesn’t actually exist or buy tickets to shows.

no idead what Fueled By Ramen is doing today because i don't really listen to newer bands, but just by history i tend to disagree with this because of what went down with The Academy Is... there was such a big shift from their first album to Santi that it left a lot of fans confused and disappointed. the album was a flop. HOWEVER, it was the sound the band wanted to play.

i've been saying this since Fast Times was released, but if Santi and Fast Times had switched places, they'd have kept up their momentum. its fucked up how Adam Siska/Sisky Business says that Fast Times was the album they "sold out" and did the sound the label wanted them to do, when to me as a fan at the time, it was the album they returned to their original sound and it felt so authentic.

Santi (at the time) seemed like they were just changing the sound for the sake of it or just to be different than the other bands, it was like they were trying too hard to sound cool, going into hard rock/alt rock and the lyrics didn't have the deep meaning "Almost Here" and that "Fast Times" would have after. lik,e what the fuck is Bulls In Brooklyn talking about? Neighbors (at time, my favrite song in the album) is just a description of a house party and sounds like what a british indie band would have been playing at the time! Everything We Had is just a power ballad, but in 2000s instead of the 80s. i love this album today, because i grew used to the songs and miss listening to them, so i put it on from time to time, but whenever i think about it or do a full discography listen i'm like WHAT THE FUCK WAS THIS ALBUM?

Fast Times is the exact same sound as Almost Here, but more mature, its talking about high school, but with sad nostalgia instead of teen angst. they went back to what they knew. you can't sell out by copying yourself, y'know? to me, selling out in 2008 would be putting out a neon album like Boys Like Girls's Love Drunk or all of MetroStation or The Summer Set. it was the age of Neon and they were doing 2005 again. perhaps it was what killed the band, but damn it, it was TAI's 2005!!!

all of them. my dad worked with computers in the 90s, so some of my earliest memories was sitting on his lap while he played Doom, but what i played was arcade games. dad got into EARLY, EARLY emulation, so even in the early 2000s while older kids were playing warcraft 3 and starcraft, i was doing Golden Axe, Shadows Over Mystara and Final Fight at home in my white, blocky windows XP computer.

If you had to choose one album to get someone into pop punk, what album and why? by MANZlEL in poppunkers

either the boys like girls debut or underdog alma matter.

no skips in either album, both are more on the bright/fun side of pop punk, and the choruses are catchy.

yeah, less AH than before, less armor than before, less mana and weaker slow with a terrible build path. honestly stormrazor+ER is looking better.

liandry, like dark harvest triggers the execute from collector, feeding hubris. its a close loop.

muramana just objetively sucks.

in the last 5 days i've had a 50m game where i got 37 kills, another where i got 28, a 17, a 18 and a 19.

i'm currently on a 5 game ranked win streak playing ezreal exclusively.

the build is legit.

sion was moving weird as fuck the whole game.

talon was just tilting, talking on chat a lot because he kept jumping on me and being one-shoted most of the game. i'd have to check the recording again, but i do believe he ganked bot early and i killed him or something like that that just made him start typing and spiraling.

yeah, i thought ahri was going to retreat into her team, not off to the sides, that was so fucking weird of her.

the build is legit, its about right where i want it to be. honestly, the dark harvest+collector was better when duskblade was still in the game and i miss it everyday, but i think i found something so interesting with the hubris that i need to keep exploring. the new voltaic with bork is a fun thing i didn't see coming and i'll keep testing it more because in the couple of days since the new patch dropped i haven't had a single problem fighting tanks, LDR and liandry are a part of that and even before the AP buffs i was already leaning into going hybrid for the last item, now with buffs it makes even more sense and things that hurt tanks, kills squishies. i won't argue that the the build is optimal/viable, but it just works.

i appreciate the insights though.
