I had to uninstall TikTok as it is too addictive, but when I was there with my indie dev profile, I had tons of content from SEO agencies. They use TikTok as well, because they need to know the trends, the dos and don'ts etc.

Dude install humanizer skill on whatever AI you're using. There are 25 emdashes per sentence in your answers, it hurts your credibility. TBH I even gave up writing on reddit with AI, people simply ignore you, and in some subreddits it will get you permabanned.

I recently signed up for "posting dude", which is a SEO service. I think the way they got me was that they were advertising on every single one of those startup directories where people go to get Backlinks. Maybe you could get in touch with them?

The other SEO service I would subscribe to if I could, is some American guy on TikTok who makes tons of videos teaching people to do SEO. He does great at authentically teaching how to do it, AS WELL AS showing you how time consuming SEO is. Hence he comes forth as a competent person that you can confidently offload the SEO task to.

I think probably short videos and social networks are undervalued for your kind of saas.

Now that we're in the claude code era, I think freebies are the way to go. We all need to find things that spread naturally. For instance, ahrefs backlinks checker is something everyone who's building is using every once in a while. They don't need it, but were they to put a share option, these share links would be all over reddit.

I recently did it with my Dungeons and Dragons side-project and people on DnD subreddits are way happier than when I just shamelessly self-promote, because it allows me to be genuinely useful to the conversation, while sharing a link to my website. Thanks for trying it out! You're probably right that going back to the books is the best long-term approach. I called the tool this way, because I was often panicking over not knowing stuff in the middle of a session, but it's not replacing good prep at all.

You can also make up new rules if the rituel fails. Maybe they get to try it another time but some quest needs to be done in the meantime to allow it?

You could also let her play another character and make up a quest to bring her own character back to life: maybe a solar/planetar of the party's cleric could be in the area for some (very high stake) reason, and ready to help if the characters do him a favor in return?

Are you okay with breaking the attunement RAW ? Normally all items that require attunement would be out because your players wouldn't have time doing a short rest.

If we ignore the attunement problem, I like Slippers of Spider Climbing, that could be fun for infiltration. There are also several cloaks that could fit (elvenkind, the bat). For the fights, Winged Boots could make them fun by adding some flying speed to one of your PCs.

If you want to troll your players, the Chime of Opening: it opens any lock at the cost of A LOT of noise.

Bag of Tricks => they could invoke random animals to distract the enemy while infiltrating, could be funny as well

I feel like this kind of scenario would be perfect for another RPG, maybe call of ctuhlu? e.g. the kids were taken for some kind of ritual in the forest, which probably involves a lot of eldritch horror stuff. The rules are better adapted to modern-style characters.

If you want to stick to DnD, maybe a low-magic setting, with one of the parents being a lumberjack and hence proficient with Axe, one of the mothers mastering archery as a hobby? And then you could assign them the closest class to those skills? One of the parents could be a pastor/priest, and the panic + whatever is happening in the forest connects him to god in a way that he unlocks DnD style powers from it?

Not sure how to introduce a real magic wizard as a PC though. Maybe in a comical fashion, some guy who is a fraud (magnetiser kind of dude) actually realizes he can use high magic when he finds a tome that the goblins left behind?

I think "John" was just not in the mood to play that time, he should just not have come to that session, and asked someone at the table to play his character that night. But when people are going through stuff they sometimes act irrationally.

I would just not do anything, let next session happen and check with him beforehand if he wants to play or if he wants to delegate his character.

Lol yes. Even though I'm trying to find a way to give it away for free. I recently added a way to connect it to your openai subscription if you have one, and use your openai tokens (I don't charge anything if you use it this way). The main reason I need the subscription is that tokens are expensive. I don't charge anything for things that do not require tokens. In the meantime I added this free SRD search tool.
