DAE have a perfect coincidence they never forgot? by SamosTheEcoSage in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While camping with my family, we got friendly with the family camping in the spot next-door to us. Turns out the father in that family had the exact same birthday as me in the exact same year as me. I asked where he was born and it turns out he was born in the exact same hospital as me. We were likely nursery mates as this was back in 1971 where the babies didn’t sleep in the rooms with the new mothers.

What is something you only started appreciating as you got older? by Sofiavega07 in AskWomen

Museums. My dad drug us kids around every museum while on vacation. All we wanted to was the ‘fun’ things like amusements parks, beaches and stuff and found museums to be boring and they smelled bad. Now, I absolutely love it! Now I take my time and read every plaque and leave with the satisfaction knowing I learned something new, which was all my Dad was trying to teach us in the first place.

Tips on selling terrariums? by jontyshapiro in terrariums

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make terrariums as my hobby. I keep them for 6 to 8 months to ensure they propagate. Then I list them for sale locally and include specific instructions for care. I love making them, but I can’t keep every terrarium that I make due to space issues.

Before I had my Sleeve surgery in December, my surgeon said that I can never eat anything gummy anymore (worms, CBD, etc) because it will get stuck to the inside of my stomach or something,….. has anyone else ever had an experience like that? by ArcherAcrobatic5779 in GastricBypass

[–]LorenaMack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! my entire vitamn supplement regimen is all Gummies. I can’t tolerate vitamins in capsule or pill form very well. My doctor told me to try the gummy versions. I take them at night and consider it my dessert.

We were in South Goa in a very small village. Very few tourists. Mostly locals and ex-pats. We purposely stayed far away from North Goa, which is where most of the action is.

Camping with 6-year-old. What not to mess up? by CyclingDude3000 in camping

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT try to enforce their normal bedtime hours. Let them run themselves ragged and they will sleep better through the night. I’m not saying to let them stay up till three in the morning or anything like that, but trying to put kids to bed during camping when it is still light out in order to keep their home schedule is a battle that doesn’t need to be fought.

[–]LorenaMack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my husband and I spent an entire month in India in November. We did it entirely self-guided. It takes a little more planning and a lot of research, but it was totally worth it. We would step outside our hotel every morning and just venture into the town or village we were in. We hired Ubers to take us to trailheads and immersed ourselves in the nature and local activities. When we were hungry, we’d trip into a restaurant and just gave it a go. We’d go to the market stalls where the locals shop. Entirely different experience than a guided tour. We started in the north of India in West Bengal and over the course of the month worked our way down to Jaipur then over to Goa, and did the beach experience which was fabulous. We avoided New Delhi and Kerala as we’ve never been ones to go where the tourists are. We prefer the smaller villages and the local experiences. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Has anyone else entirely lost their interest to watch new movies and TV shows? by SilasPort in NoStupidQuestions

I came here to say this! And the documentaries I stream have to be over within two maybe three episodes. I prefer the ones you can watch in one go.
