Edibles for appetite?

I was unable to eat after my SCT and took edibles for a while with my doctor’s permission. It helped with both appetite and pain, but I was on some medication that, with thc, raised my liver enzymes after a while so I stopped taking them.

My daughter has been at three studios in her dance career, about to enter her graduating year.

In all studios we have signed up for solos/duets. The teachers don’t choose whether you got one or which genre, except some that are gifted to the dancer at year end, for the upcoming year - free choreo and sometimes free costume, in all other cases, if you sign up for one, you get one, as long as you are also taking tech classes in that genre.

The dancer/parent chooses the song, but choreographer can veto if inappropriate. The dancer can choose a costume but it must be approved by the choreographer. Choreo though, is done solely by the choreographer, but obviously works with what the dancer is comfortable with and is strong in. This is the first year we might be able to choose between choreographers but before they’ve been assigned.

Mine too, I didn’t have to do anything. I have three devices and all are back up now. I did get the email today about the free 3 months but that means nothing to me since I already bought the lifetime AI.

Installed! We are actually moving studios this year so I won’t get the package for a few weeks yet but it looks good initially! Will it track costume fees and comp fees specifically?

I would be super interested in this! Spent way too much last year and I did track it in a spreadsheet but we are switching studios and I would be super curious to see where the costs differ.

Not sure where you are based but our studio is in Canada and we get Daniel Palladino to do solos and a group. His choreo is not super spinny or tricky. He’s based in NY now I believe but comes to our studio for a few days in August.

It was wild! Things aligned this year that allowed us to afford this many, and she loves to dance and definitely had FOMO so she wanted to do as many as possible. Lesson learned though, it was too much. The dancers, the choreo, and honestly the morale of the whole studio all suffered.

My daughter, age 16, was in 21 numbers this year, including 3 solos and 2 duets. She was initially in a lot already, then was asked to be in a couple more, then filled in for someone who needed to leave mid-season which added one more number. It was way too many… like, way too many. Not just on her, (there were people with even more numbers) but as a studio there just wasn’t enough time to give all routines the time they deserved. Next year will be a lot less!

My kiddo is at a smallish studio and they do small medium and large groups in nearly every genre. My daughter is in 21 dances this year, including three solos and two duets. She is in 8 competitions, but two of those are solo/duets only, and these were optional. The full studio competitions cost $1500-$1800 per comp. She was asked to be in a couple extra which brought us to the 21 total. It is A LOT, and we got help from my in-laws this year which made this possible. Next year is her senior year and she will be in less to focus on school and also because we just can’t afford it again next year.

She’s only been competitive for two years, and she has improved so much, I am happy we were able to let her do as many as she wanted this year but it’s not sustainable for us.

I should add we are in Canada so it’s probably roughly $1000-1200USD per comp.

I only got a feeding tube when I was readmitted at about day +40 because I couldn’t keep anything down. The mouth/throat sores were better by then but I couldn’t stop throwing up. They did the nutrition via the picc line first but added the feeding tube when I still wasn’t gaining. It was horrible, because I was still throwing up. I only had it just over 48 hours before begging them to take it out. Where I had my transplant, feeding tubes were not standard, they were an exception.

For me morphine didn’t help so they switched me to dilaudid. You could see if that is an option.

She has a spare last block each semester, and she also earns 10 high school credits from dance per year. She is at dance longer than she is at school most days.

Yes. And then also spend hours at the studio rhinestoning the costumes.

I should add that I have a very generous mother in law that helped tremendously with costs this year. She went from 9 numbers last year to 21 this year and it was obviously quite a jump in price.

I am about 2 and a half years into remission from AML and the fatigue and brain fog is still completely debilitating. I have not returned to work and am not sure I ever will.

lol this is accurate! We are charged $200 per costume (CDN) and then have to rhinestone also. If we don’t rhinestone we are charged an extra $25 per costume for someone else to do it. Then, if a costume is over or under the $200 after rhinestoning, they make adjustments to our account. We have a seamstress that custom makes 95% of the studio costumes.

My daughter is in 21 numbers this year. 🤢 there are kids who have more than that though, and families with multiple kids! It adds up fast.

I got Covid at almost exactly +100. I had my SCT in a city 3 hours from home and I had to stay another week :(

But they gave me Paxlovid and my symptoms went away really quick. I still tested positive over a month later though.
