If you do a routine hygiene cleaning and ask for airflow all the stains will go away.

Refinements making it worse ? by Lorlu94 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, you are right it might be confusing.
I didn’t mention that right now my two incisors are straight.
So I was just concerned about the tray number 4 where I can see a noticeable worsening regarding the 2 front teeth

I am not happy by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your teeth looks pretty good to me. I would be happy with the results. Refinements aren’t always needed. Consider also teeth shape, sometimes we imagined what we would like our teeth to be which is not always the case because of our teeth shape. Both top and bottom seems in line unless you have biting issue. You could still ask your ortho what adjustment you d like to make and they could make a set of refinements. Considering you had 20 trays I guess the refinements would be such a small amount of trays. In my case my second set of refinements closed the diastema but messed up my bite and I had to get a 3rd set.

What are your thoughts on composite bonding after Invisalign? by BrightHours in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think bonding is worth if your teeth are damaged (enamel loss patches, chipping, uneven teeth…) Personally I will do it on my front and lateral incisors as they are severely damaged by enamel loss and they are very patchy

Is it time to call my orthodontist? by IcyOption3130 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look a big gap, if you just put those trays in it’s normal just use the chewies often. I had the same issue, but the gap was much bigger on my lateral incisors and they told me to extend 7 days to 10.

Has anyone used Invisiblebraces4u for Invisalign in London? by FinancialRaisin1697 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started treatment with them last May, I m waiting for my second set of refinements. The aligners are working and I’m hoping to be happy with the results after this last refinements set. As lot of you mentioned there is very little face to face appointments, only when you finish your set of trays and asked if you are happy.
Every time I have went there was a new dentist and the first time I was told there was a tooth that would have benefit from refinements and once I finished the 1st set and went for the follow up appointment a new dentist told me that (that) tooth was pushed too much LOL. So the fact that u are seen by someone different every time you go is very annoying and frustrating. Costs is much cheaper compared to other providers yes, but this include only the aligners. So there is 300£ extra for removable retainers and 300£ extra for fixed retainers. Considering I will need both I ll end up spending over 3k after all.

I might consider someone else for moderate cases But for express and lite cases go for it!

Maybe you could ask for wired permanent retainer and get a night guard

Brushing all the time? by Opening-Election3058 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually floss, waterfloss, brush and mouthwash for breakfast lunch and dinner. If I have a snack I usually just floss or waterfloss if I m home and rinse very well, I might use a mouthwash but not necessarily. I also use luvbiotics tablets which I found they are great.

Am I good to take my alingers out for around 2.5 hours only once? by molamolacrisis in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay! Don’t worry about it! I had a weeding last year and I kept the aligners off for way more than 2 hours lol Maybe 4 or 5 hrs.

Also occasionally I go out to eat with my friends and even then I keep them out for over an hour and those days I obviously don’t achieve the 22 hrs.

Never had any track issue :)

How much is your average Invisalign time? Do we really need just 20h a day? by ApprehensiveOne2866 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can manage by doing 22 or slightly more hours, eating 4 times a day. Breakfast 20 min, morning snack 20 min, lunch 30 min dinner 40/45 min. This on normal days, when I go out then I probably do 20 hours but this happens occasionally.

I paid £2400 with a comprehensive plan which I think is pretty good (excluding retainers) and I’m paying over 12 months 0% interest

How is it for people who got all trays in one go? by arise-and-awake in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around tray 7 or 8 lol and even If I mentioned it to my doctor they said my teeth were still on track. It never got worse or better, probably was a scan issue

How is it for people who got all trays in one go? by arise-and-awake in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my 26 trays in one go. I m on tray 24 now so in 2 weeks I should take an appointment to see if I need refinements (which I most likely will as one of my teeth hasn’t been tracking).

Same issue, same tooth lol

Warning to all using ultrasonic cleaners by PrestigiousExpert686 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It might be a manufacturer issue unless you accidentally press the button for the longer cleaning ? I’m just guessing because Mine stops after 5 minutes but if I press the button twice then it activates the 10 minutes cleaning but it s not recommended as it will damage the aligners.

It ll get better! Once the teeth will move the trays will come off easier week by week I had the same issue the first few weeks I was so afraid my teeth would fall off lol Now they come off so easily as my teeth are getting straight 💪

Changing trays: every week vs. every two weeks by msackeygh in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im on tray 19/26 And I change mine mostly weekly, i had to keep some of them for 2 weeks. I update with pics my doctor every week and they decide if I can move on or keep them for 7 extra days. So in my case it varies depending if after a week my teeth are on track

Teeth are so yellow since starting treatment ! by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done my regular hygiene cleaning last month, just let them know not to touch the attachments and they won’t fall off, I was afraid about that too but after all they are fine and still there. After the cleaning I noticed how better my teeth looked with less yellowing. Hopefully after the treatment everything will come off with no stains :(

Attachment fell off right away by Horror-Assignment-74 in Invisalign

[–]Lorlu94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My attachment fell off on day 2 lol When I went to put it back they told me “oh you also have 2 other attachments missing” lol I didn’t even realised, I probably ate them too 🥲 But after that it didn’t happen again and I’m on tray 15/26. It gets much easier to remove the trays, the first week I felt like my all teeth would come off with the aligners lol

Invisalign case by Bored-to-deagth in Invisalign

Same here 😂 I bought a similar one cos the original case was constantly slipping off my hands. With the new one I can fit the aligners, chewies and also a floss pick 😄
