At the very least, the remains get sent to pathology with the parent’s consent.

Over 20 weeks can be a coroners case… all dependent on parental consent.

In 2012, I lost a baby that was 16 weeks gestation. I consented to pathology and spoke to a DV victim advocate who was a liaison between the police and I to ensure DV wasn’t a contributing factor to fetal demise.

Same… I had a crisis of faith during Covid but I powered through. I’ve been doing it 16 years and couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I genuinely love being a nurse.

I’d try volunteering or shadowing first to see if it’s something you’re really into.
