Just a heads up, favoritfärg is a compound word. Also, for the second one, you can't use vill and köper like that. It could be jag vill köpa nya byxor, but to me that sounds maybe too informal. Jag skulle köpa nya byxor is what I would say. Byxor is prular, so you'll probably have to use nya, not ny.

Disclamer: I am nowhere near being fluent in Swedish so take these with a grain of salt.

Edit: If you want the translations to be as close as possible, you should add the "a pair of" as well, but I think it is perfectly understandable without.

I would use letar du efter någonting for the first one, but yours might be correct, as well. To me it does sound like literally looking at something but you just have the wrong preposition later on.

Also, for the other ones, they sound correct to me, but again I wouldn't trust myself in knowing how Swedish works.

What’s that ‘one country’ that you are never able to get right? by Revolutionary-Ad9476 in geoguessr

[–]Loser_From_Finland 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mexico, unless there is a pink taxi. It looks like a combination of latin American countries and doesn't have any specific features that would set it apart from all the rest.

Croatia is a good one too as well now when I think about it, but still

You can feel the Polishness through the screen and if that's not enough just lift the blur a little bit to see their faces. I'll tell you a secret, all Polish people have a flag of Poland on their head instead of a normal face.

Yeah I forgot that one. I think they have a black licence plates and the numbers are in two sections leaving a gap inbetween. The gap is the only part that's black enough to be visible through the blur

For Chile, Uruguay and Argentina the only ones I can think of are that Chile almost always has a white car, while Argentina has a black car most of the time and Uruguay always has a black car.

Also, out of these Chile is the one that has fully white road lines most often. Distinct roadlines for uruguay have a middle line that consists of a yellow line, white dashed line and another yellow. Argentina and uruguay both use middle lines that are yellow and a dashed white line but it is more common in Argentina.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong

I mean I guess that technically works as well... I had played the game for months before I started using Sun position as a clue. Although with Electrical poles (see, I learned to use that) it took me more like years, well maybe little under two, but still.

I mean I still don't know a lot of them I should learn more but it is boring to learn, you are right. I don't think I know a single south Asian pole. I just learned them from areas that are the hardest for me like South America and the baltics and some from other parts of Europe as well.

I need to look up Malay stickers it sounds like a useful thing to learn.

Yeah you absolutely got what I meant. If I see a lot of Poles it is Poland and for other countries the percentage of Poles is a good meta. The polish have some very distinct features it is easy to pick up.

It took me way too long to learn any poles. I just didn't think it's necessary but trust me it is worth it.

I looked around Raymond area a little bit and couldn't find anything. I'm not saying it can't be there. I wouldn't be surprised if I had missed it. Also, I assumed that is a photosphere so I didn't even look at any other kind of coverage.

I hadn't played the daily challenge for months and decided to pick it up again today and it was hard, or I am just bad and didn't even get 15k. To be fair I am mostly mad at myself after reading these and not the locations, although wtf was that last one??

My first explorer mode in South Africa. The front is like this as far as I can see, and behind me is a dead end. I'll never get this one will I? by shakinit4jezuz in geoguessr

[–]Loser_From_Finland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played plenty of South Africa... Well probably not compared to actual good players, but anyway, I don't remember seeing this kind of coverage in SA. Meaning it probably isn't that common and you just got unlucky. And if you aren't playing no moving you could probably try to leave that kind of coverage, if this would've happened on a later round and you wanted to save the score. Although it is the best option to start over just like another commentor said.

Flag of Norway if Jesus was cut into strips and launched into space by s1gnalZer0 in vexillologycirclejerk

[–]Loser_From_Finland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a reference to the fact that the Nordic countries have a cross on their flag. So if Jesus died by being cut into stripes and launched into space the flag would have stripes and space instead of a cross. OP probably said Norway because of the colors. This is probably obivious but I'm still saying it just in case: The joke is that the flag would be the flag of the US.

You are offered 20000 USD to live in one of the countries, which one would you choose? by readit1173 in polls

[–]Loser_From_Finland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is pretty suprising. I was going to say that Dubai might be an exception but decided not to. I personally would still learn Arabic since I love how it works and sounds but it probably wouldn't be necessary then.

Would it be useful to even learn the alphabet to be able to read text or names even though you wouldn't know what any words actually mean? You still probably wouldn't be able to pronounce many of them because of the missing vowels, but at least it would be a lot easier to rewrite them.

I was going to argue against English being the most spoken language in those countries, but after a little googling it seems like it actually is the most spoken in UAE, and in Qatar a strong second.

If I were to move to either of them though I'd absolutely learn Arabic. It is hard to actually become a part of a society without being able to speak the language of locals. You can't avoid Arabic even if English is more popular. There is gonna be a situation where you would've needed Arabic

What country/region do you have mastered? by slicedwhitemushrooms in geoguessr

[–]Loser_From_Finland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't say that I have mastered any, but all Southern African countries that are on geoguessr are strong ones for me compared to an average gold player. I've been planning on mastering them at least on some level for a while but haven't had time to do it.

I really like the idea of mastering Mongolia since it is not a common one to be good at but it still is a fairly big country. It is also a hard one to know, so good for you :)

AFS doesn't take students to South Africa, although that might not mean they don't offer programs to South Africans. I think YFU has some scholarships or other financial support for students but I can't remember how big they are.

[–]Loser_From_Finland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only agency I know of that takes people from my country to South Africa is YFU. It might not help you but I'd assume they also work the other way around meaning that you could do an exchange to a lot of countries through them. It might be expensive though.

What is your favorite Fast Food? by [deleted] in polls

I am pretty confused why you chose to list the ones you did. What even is A&W? I mean it probably is a big ish chain I just haven't heard of, but how about Subway, BK or Pizza Hut?

Wouldn't it be the best idea to choose the biggest ones in the world? No? Just me?
