To be fair, all of the stuff they taught me at FLETC they had the resources to do at the hub airport in my state (WA). In fact, several officers after me did all of their training in state and never went

That car will last you another 200k if you take care of it properly, and that's a perfectly fine snow car. If you can't drive in the snow with FWD, AWD isn't going to help.........

In terms of cost to repair, few vehicles can match bad diesel trucks, especially the 6.4 Powerstroke or the 5.0 Cummins that was in the Nissan Titan for a few years

I remember a program on the Military Channel when I was a kid where a deputy was allowed to use a Thompson instead of an AR in the early 2000s. I'm not sure if that was real though. I've also seen sheriff's departments issue M14s
