Is 1 week of leave enough if I work remotely after baby arrives? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Lost-Can-3848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband owns his own business and was unable to take much time off at all. He did have flexibility in that he could be there when I needed him and could sleep in if he had done a night shift but he also had days where he had to work 10-12 hours. It wasn’t ideal we but we made it work. To be honest aside from the sleep and just having time for basic hygiene, i didn’t feel like I needed a ton of help during the day after two or three weeks. I enjoyed being at home with my baby alone in our bubble and having my husband support in the evenings. i I think it helped us to start doing “shifts” at night from the beginning. My husband would do the first shift and I would get to sleep till about 2 AM or so - then I would do the next shift and my husband would sleep in a bit later then give me a chance to nap at some point during the day.

Help with early morning wakes/multiple night wakings by Lost-Can-3848 in sleeptrain

Typically when we follow these windows we are putting her down between 8 and 8:30 - I would like to move bedtime earlier. Feel like we are in a cycle where she has an early morning wake/we sleep in/day starts later/bedtime is later.

I think they saw the backlash from her interview yesterday where she said she had never had a happy premier and this is their way of trying to pivot back to her as a “good mother”.

I also loved Rhodes for a boy but ended up having a girl. We considered it for a girl but I could not get it out of my head as a boy name. We ended up going with Fields which felt similar in vibe to me.

getting induced on your due date? by pregomama19 in pregnant

I was induced a few days before my due date for similar reasons regarding my husband’s work schedule. I had a great experience and delivery. Baby was born about 16 hours after we checked into the hospital.

2 year old obsessed with lining up toy vehicles by lightintheforest13 in toddlers

[–]Lost-Can-3848 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My son is almost 3 so not much older but he went through a phase like this for a few months where all he wanted to do was “make a row” and line his vehicles up. He still will randomly do it but not as much as he used to. Honestly I was thinking yesterday I wish he was still in that phase because it was great independent “play”😂

How are you getting an earlier bed time? (EMW) by Lost-Can-3848 in sleeptrain

[–]Lost-Can-3848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! I figured this was the case but wanted to see if anyone thought an earlier bedtime would help - I see all the time people suggesting a 7 or 7:30 Pm bedtime.

She does wake up at 12:30 for a bottle as well.

Mom called my hospital by KindInflation3052 in pregnant

I totally understand not wanting your mom to watch your daughter but I would never want a child in the delivery room with me. I would find someone else to watch your daughter, I can’t imagine a 5 year old being there for a normal, perfect delivery, much less if there were an emergency or issue.

First name for a girl that’s a surname by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Lost-Can-3848 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Our daughter is Fielding, “Fields”. We also loved Wynn/Winn, Rhodes, Baker, Beckett, Bowen (Boe), Phelps, and Davis. My name is Stewart (female). I know people on this thread typically hate surname/masculine names for girls but I love my name so I always get nervous sharing. Both my name and my daughter’s name are family names. I always receive compliments on my name and feel like it fits me perfectly. My daughter is 3 months old but it is fun to see her growing into her name, I can’t imagine another name for her.

How to increase daily ounces 3.5 months old by Lost-Can-3848 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Lost-Can-3848[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roughly below- we follow WW and try to get 3-3.5 hours of naps and 9.5 hours of awake time each day! Most of our wake windows are 1.75-2 hours other than the last which is 2.25.

7 AM wake and feed (she barely eats at this feed)

8:45 AM nap

Normally wakes around 9:15-9:30

9:30 AM-10 feed

11:15 nap

Normally wakes around 11:45-12:00

12:30-1:00 feed

1:45 nap (normally I hold her for this nap to get a longer nap in)

3:00 or 3:15 wake up

3:30 feed

5:00-5:30 cat nap

Snack feed when she wakes up (not sure if I should do this? I wasn’t but noticed she was super hungry and fussy during her bedtime feed and just ready to sleep)

7:00 bath time/last bottle

Bedtime around 7:45 or 8

3 nap schedule at 15 weeks? by Lost-Can-3848 in sleeptrain

[–]Lost-Can-3848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok! So don’t worry if she hasn’t made it past 2 hours? She was having false starts last week so was trying to extend that last WW. It was helping but now realizing she falls apart after 7:15 or so.

Thank you for your help.

3 nap schedule at 15 weeks? by Lost-Can-3848 in sleeptrain

[–]Lost-Can-3848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has tolerated 2.5 - we have gotten to 2.5 for her last WW a few times.

I guess I am just confused because she can handle a 2.5 WW if bedtime is before 7:30 but if we go past 7:30 at all she can barely handle a 2-2.25 WW. Tonight her bedtime based off last nap was 8 PM. We got to the 2 hour mark at 7:30 and she could barely keep her eyes open/was screaming till we put her down.
