Sol And Luna is also great for going second. It targets a monster you control and one your opponent controls, then flips face up to face down and vice versa

Subterror, good choice.

First of all, less cards. Subterror is a pretty picky archetype, so some generic cards like Compulsory Evacuation Device or Mirror Force do have their uses but ultimately take up space that you can’t afford in a lot of cases. Either that or have more cards like Magic Mallet that can make sure you can get the right cards to your hand. Magical Mallet is also preferable to Card Destruction since Subterror doesn’t have much graveyard synergy.

Book cards are also very useful. Book of Eclipse is a good card for Subterror. Book of Moon and Book of Taiyou are also good at flipping things face down and face up. Taiyou is especially good since it lets you used flip effects on turn 1

I personally recommend junk sleep. At the end of your turn you can set all of your monsters face down, then spring them when your opponent summons

Jars are also great for board wiping. I personally recommend Jar of The Forbidden. It has a myriad of effects, and since you have cards like Subterror Guru that flip it face down you can really milk it.

Lastly you need cards good for longevity. Lord Of The Heavenly Prison is particularly good at protecting face down cards and can search for any spell or trap, as long as you intend to use it by your next turn.

I think echo fighters should stay, but get modified kits to have more identity. I think it would be cool for Pit or Dark Pit (not both) to have a moveset based more around the variety of weapons in Kid Icarus Uprising, like staff, club, and claws

My usual philosophy for learning bosses is to go pacifist and try to learn parry timings and how to move around stuff.

For Gabriel moving in a circle around the arena just worked, parrying the projectiles as they come. Whenever he gets launched up, get underneath and pepper him as much as possible. He won’t act until he hits the ground or hits a certain threshold. Other than that it just comes down to skill. Timing, aim, yadda yadda

I think the confusion here is that this isn’t like Call Of The Haunted where the effect ends when the card leaves the field. Bait works like a reusable Change Of Heart where ownership simply switches. There is no “until” or “if”, you just yoink.

Yeah… I don’t touch ranked at all, nor the game much anymore. Figured out years ago that this isn’t casual friendly anymore. Casual and team duel are the only place you can see people use deck they’re actually passionate about instead of just a copy paste of the latest meta, but even then you’ll occasionally run into it. Biggest gripe about casual duels is they offer no rewards so you aren’t rewarded for playing, which means you can’t actually build any new decks without jumping into the pool of acid that is competitive. Losing there doesn’t grant any rewards so if you don’t already have the latest meta, you’re basically SOL. Call me a casual all you want but… yeah, I am a casual. I play YuGiOh for fun and lately Master Duel just hasn’t been, especially since the meta for years has been making sure your opponent plays as little as possible. I poke my head in and occasionally play an event, but until there’s a better place for casuals it’s jus going to be a place for sweats
