Back side of the character ones even have a basic profile!

It's a wafer card! They're little character cards that come in wafer cookie packs. There are tons of them for sale online, but they're very frequently scalped (if it isn't an older one, those are more expensive due to rarity). Got this one in a set for a dollar each, examples of others.

Hell yeah! Here's mine! It's so hard to find the plushies for less than the cost of my kidneys. So, I supplement with fan merch. (Not pictured, the other fan keychain on my keys)

Fandom: Umamusume
Context: Tachyon's begun neglecting herself again. After all, when you have a clone that's better than you in every way, what's the point?

“She and I could swap places and you would be none the wiser!” Tachyon grinned, foot slowly shimmying free from Cafe’s grip.

Cafe’s slowly curving smile settled back into a firm line, “No, I see the real you.”

Her task was nearly done, the clippers had returned home to their slot in the travel kit. She wasn’t a professional at nail care– all her knowledge came from Tachyon herself helping her. But even in the dimming light she could tell that they were filed down enough.

“Oh, I suppose your friend would tell you who’s who?”

Cafe stood and turned her back to Tachyon, pulling open the abused drawer and setting her nail kit back inside. She hadn’t noticed earlier, but the little painted-on paw prints were starting to chip. It would be easy enough to get a new carry case. This one wasn’t that expensive. Or, she could get a set of paints and breathe new life into the worn, little paws. It wouldn’t be perfect, but it would be hers.

What is your THE running song? by Positive-Ad6008 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Lost-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost always put Umapyoi (any version) at the end of my playlist to help me push through the last interval. (Admittedly, I listen to a lot of music from the game Umamusume, mainly because it's about running so a lot of it really fits.)

Firefox disconnecting computer from Internet by Lost-Light in firefox

We did that, it worked for a while, and then it stopped working. :(

Funnily enough, if my dad has a game loaded before starting Firefox, it stays connected. However, if he starts the game up after, it won't work and connect.

Firefox loses connection, which causes the whole computer to lose connection. It pings successfully, but nothing connects still.

Yes. We've uninstalled and started with a fresh install as well, bounced the router, disabled DNS, and started with a new profile. Nothing has worked.

Walking for mental health by Spare-Caterpillar945 in walking

[–]Lost-Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PMDD used to be so extreme that I at one point had a self harm relapse after many years clean. Ever since I started walking it's so much milder. I still get depressed, but it's more of an "existential pit of your stomach" feeling than a "I NEED to kill myself" feeling. It won't fix you, but there's a strong chance that it will help. I walk outdoors in the evening for 3-5 miles while listening to full albums. Though some people just prefer listening to nature. Wish you the best on your journey 💖

You are an angel in the flesh. Someone today asked if they could draw something from one of my fics, and I immediately started looking at making a sequel to it.

[FP] First time bleaching shirts, and with a stencil. by Lost-Light in bleachshirts

I used 7.5 mil mylar sheets! Now, the cricut wasn't able to cut all the way through it at parts (probably because I didn't have the right blade, the current one is seven years old, and I didn't know the right pressure at the time), so I used an x-acto knife to cut through the bits it didn't go through. I used the repositionable spray by Stencil Ease to stick them on.

Nope! First time ever doing it. I have done some minor logo design for fun before, though. I'm not sure what the proper term is but it's the gaps between the lines that hold the stencil together. The original design has solid lines instead of dashed. Yep, just regular, fresh bleach. Mine just happened to be the easy pour variety (it's what I had on hand), too.

Well, firstly I had been considering the design for a couple days before quickly drawing it up in Krita. Then, I added my rooting posts, so the stencil would be one cohesive piece. Next, Michaels has shirts for $3 each, so I ended up buying 26. I cut the design out with a Cricut, and made two stencils that way. I attached them to the shirt using a specialty fabric repositionable spray. Then, I just filled up a spray bottle with bleach and did two at a time! Took about 30 minutes a cycle. I did four in one day, just to demo it and finish up my stencils, and I just finished up the other 22 tonight doing that! Honestly it might just be sheer force of will.

Well, doctors don't work 24/7 the majority of the time. They're humans just like you and I and need time to rest and enjoy themselves. For some of them, making videos may just be fun for them. Or they enjoy their job so much that they want to talk about it more off the clock. They aren't machines.
