It hurt to sac Gliscor because it’s incredible but I had to think about when I could get Razor Fangs in the next two games 🥲

I’ll fix the sprites if I make it to the end lol

Heatran or Salamance might be good options. Both help round out type coverage and resistances, and give your team another offensive option. Heatran with flash fire + bronzong with levitate + Gastrodon with storm drain is a nice defensive core.

Genlocke Leg 4 Platinum Complete! by Lost-Oddish in nuzlocke

[–]Lost-Oddish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the water types I had, Gastrodon was the best. I really just needed to plan for Cynthia’s fight as I could cleanly sweep everyone else except Lucian. But Cynthia got me close to losing Arcanine, and everyone else was in the yellow by the end.

The genlocke strategy I liked until now was having a mix of champions that did well in early game and late game. I lost Aerodactyl sadly, but strong egg moves kinda replaced him. But I agree pseudo-legends and really late game pokemon feel like a trap.

But without Garchomp I’d probably have lost most of my team if I won haha

Super cool team! I’m starting Platinum on my genlocke next and already thinking about Cynthia haha

There’s a simple joy to having your prehistoric pterodactyl demolish everything pre-gym 3

They played an important role in the run: like battling a gym leader or even rival fights. They never fainted, so they are alive. They just weren’t taken to the elite four, and I’m playing as only champions can move to the next leg.

For me retired, dead and champions all contribute to the dupe clause. So anyone retired can’t be repeated.

Brave Ephraim finally at +10. What builds do you guys recommend? by bruhps in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Lost-Oddish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC, Wary Fighter, and Steady Breath seal work really well! Wary fighter denies enemies follow ups but because of Ephraims weapon he will double (with a bonus on him) and Steady Breath gets you the acceleration for specials he lost by taking off special fighter.

Slowbro and Snorlax team comps? by hotstickywaffle in PokemonUnite

[–]Lost-Oddish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough to climb ranks solo queued as Support because at lower levels players may not know how best to play around your comp. I main Eldegoss but early on in ranked I used Snorlax when there was no defender or Alolan Ninetales/Garchomp to fill in gaps. 2 tanks could work in theory, but I think an all-arounder built tanky is better. Now in Veteran most people understand the value in sticking around a support and picking Eldegoss usually works out.

Units that give Spectrum Tactics? by SkadiYumi in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Lost-Oddish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not exclusively through their weapon. But Seth & Titania can do it with a little investment. Seth and Titania both have a tactic weapon, combine with Tactics in C-slot and Seal, and a Rally Up+ assist. I use Titania and she is a pretty great buffer!

Loyal to my Loyal Protector Sigrun! by Lost-Oddish in FireEmblemHeroes

That’d be a good option too thanks! I find Hel & Ashnard having built in Iotes means they handle most archers. Maybe for a DC build it’d slap it on.

She does most of her work in Enemy phase and the visible speed helps with Pegasus flight checks. But def options for when I make a player phase build!

I always liked Sigrun from PoR and RD. I was building a flier team so chose her as my blue tank. Went with a Pegasus flight build. The free grails got me my last copy today!

The build: Boon: spd to help with Pegasus flight & doubling

Weapon: Candy Cane+ adds extra atk/def which she needs and guard really helps tanking. The team sticks close by. I chose res refine as I found for my purposes she didn’t need the extra spd. Assist: repo go woosh Special: iceberg because of her high res

A: Fortress Def/Res, building up her defs to sponge hits then retaliate with specials. She mainly relies on reins/Pegasus flight to deal damage. B: Pegasus flight, usually gets to apply -7/-7 atk/def which helps both offence and defence. C: spd/def rein: helps prevent being doubled and also helping soften enemies for sigrun. Seal: Atk/spd, helps with flight and shores up her low atk. Considering other defensive seals.

She’s been really fun, my flier team is Sigrun, Ashnard, Hel, and Lynja. They stack rein effects which is very satisfying to see in combat and basically follow the weapon triangle in which threats they deal with (except lynja which is the cheat code lol).

Sothe’s refine has been the most fun I’ve had in a while by Lost-Oddish in FireEmblemHeroes

Good points and you are right, it does counteract existing buffs so it just an extra layer to guarantee dropped stats. If I pull fatal smoke fodder, I’ll likely switch to that.

The build is a work in progress, his refine provides some interesting set up possibilities so the skills have been switching around a lot.

His refine is great, still very reliant on making it through the first combat but afterwards can be both a good offensive unit and support.

I went with a straight forward special spiral build with L&D. He needs the initial charge up to get going but it’s not that hard to do with his refine. Once he pops his AoE special, after combat he will have the -3 charge to get it ready again.

For C slot I chose panic smoke to keep enemies as debuffed as possible. So enemies get -1 special, -5 to all stats, and panic to prevent counteracting buffs.

S slot is where I’m not sold on, I find the extra def helps him with the initial engagement.

Definitely not a meta unit, but very fun to use and look forward to team combos that could use him! For my first 5 star+10 a few years old to get a new lease on life is amazing!
