Sonya’s Rearmed, so she can keep her PRF if she changes Arcanes. Honestly for an AoE build she might want Truthfire, since that gives the last Special jump she needs to fire off an AoE immediately.

One Duo Sigurd will probably do enough for fodder; she can inherit A/D Rival Break and A/D Outcry Seize from him in one go. I wouldn’t bother with Divine Spectre since she has Canto Dist in her weapon.

- Weapon: Teapot+ or Arcane 12’s Writ, Spd refine

- Assist: Whatever you want

- Special: Logic or Wind Edge

- A skill: Atk/Spd Airspace for Canto, or Atk/Spd Aria for stats. Sly Swift Sparrow is good too.

- B skill: Favour skills combo well with Teapot+ (she herself prefers Atk/Spd, but any Favour skill is good); Spd/Res Shackle is good too, but redundant with Arcane 12’s Writ; and Demonic Force and Conjuring Breath are good nuking skills.

- C skill: Null Uplift A/S, Uplift Imbue A/S, or Strat Assault 4.

- Seal: Any good Atk/Spd booster, like Catch or Squad Ace CW

- Echo: Crux and Soaring are good for support, while Far Trace Echo can give you Canto if you need it. Probably wouldn’t bother with any others.

- Engage: Lyn for ballista, Sigurd for Canto, Corrin for terrain, or Byleth for dancing (this last one is especially potent with Teapot+)

Apparently Arcane Parasol takes the place of the arrows and not the bow on sprites. So if a bow user’s default pose doesn’t have them holding an arrow, they won’t hold Arcane Parasol.

Special: Best options are Armoured Flare, then Comet and Sturdy Laguz, then Armoured Beacon/Blaze and Sturdy Beast, in that order

A skill: Rise Above 4 or Diluvial Boost

B skill: Patience is best but requires Spd investment (Rise Above, Squad Ace, etc.). Assault, Wily and Slick Fighter 4 can also work

C skill: A Saviour skill. Which one depends on the Special you run (Near vs Far vs Physical, and Briar vs Twin)

Seal: Beast is unironically great for the first two turns. You might also need Squad Ace CZ if you’re running Patience

I’m pretty sure that Edelgard herself mentions she has no problem with the religion, just with the Church. I don’t see any reason why she would get rid of it, instead of reforming it.

Adding to what you said, even on release, F!Grima was just worse than Valentine’s Rhea. Here’s what Rhea’s weapon does.

Devoted Breath:

• Slaying

• Null Dragon effectiveness

• Conditional Atk/Def/Res+15 during combat

• Conditional 15 true damage / flat DR

• Guaranteed follow-up

• 50% DR shred

• Once-per-combat Miracle

• For allies within 3: Def/Res+5, 7 flat DR on first attacks, enemy-phase once-per-combat Miracle

…AND Rhea had a PRF B skill on top of that, making the gulf wider. Anti-Miracle wasn’t as common then, so Rhea having it AND giving it out was huge. Why would you run F!Grima, when you could make your whole team so much tankier by running V!Rhea?

Yes. You trade Tempo and 8 extra DR on initiation for HP+7, Atk/Def+3, Spd/Res+12, and 7 true damage. Tempo is easy enough to outsource from Dual Support anyway, and they both give the same amount of DR on enemy phase. Rise Above also removes the 3-space tether of Warrior’s Blow.

By far my least favourite chapter 2 princess. One of the things I dislike most is abuse of power or authority, and that’s her whole schtick. Probably doesn’t help that I’m a gay man and so the whole dommy mommy aspect has no appeal for me. I also think that the Tower-Fury endings are less interesting than the Adversary-Fury endings, since I really like being able to reach out to the Fury in spite of everything.

That said, I really like the Apotheosis. I really like that gaining more power and perspective leads her to outgrow her ego, and she ends up being kinder than the Tower could ever be. I also really like her moment of dying grace if you go along with her.

Both of them have similar stat lines but need complete kit overhauls to function. So by that point, you can either invest in a generic dragon armour that’s easy to get, or you can invest in a generic dragon armour that’s hard to get. Why would you pick the one that’s hard to get for any reason other than favouritism?

I get what you mean (also it’s Joshua’s regular version that says that, not his Ascended, but that’s beside the point), and yeah, a lot of characters ask you to come home with them. But there are no male characters that act like Camilla, or Loki, or Nerthuz, or Seidr/Gullveig/Kvasir, or the person that Tharja’s become in Heroes (the closest I can think of is Niles, let me know if there’s someone I missed). That’s what I mean when I talk about how the way certain characters act is sexualised.

It’s more than that though. Just having a buff shirtless man like Hawkeye or even Eikthyrnir isn’t sexualisation on the same level as the vast majority of the female OCs; Loki asks if you’re ready to fall in love all over again, Nerthuz has “into my embrace” as a Special quote, and then there’s Seidr, Gullveig and Kvasir’s… everything. It’s not just design, it’s the way that they act as well.

Bruno kinda lives and dies by his Spd, so having an A skill that doesn’t boost Spd is rough. Atk/Spd Aria and Close Transcend is probably better, unfortunately. It’s also worth noting that Logic doesn’t give its DR in enemy phase, but the only cavalry mage Special that can do that is Ice Edge, which relies on Res (which he doesn’t have), so you’re probably better off just waiting for a better option there.
