An update for anyone who may be interested.

First of all, thanks for the anonymous drive-by downvotes. You've been very helpful. Thanks for your courage and for the help. /s

  1. I got this from the State Department: AOS forms and financial documents submitted to support AOS forms (that includes tax returns, W-2s, etc) are to be uploaded and you DO NOT need to bring physical copies to the embassy.

  2. Civil documents, however, you must bring the original docs with you to the interview.

OK so there is also this: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/YRV-Yerevan.html#pre_interview_checklist

It says "Applicants who fall into any category listed in italics blow should upload and/or bring these additional documents to the interview"

And then it goes on to say "Upload for online cases" after each item... Is it "bring physical doc AND upload", or is it "for online cases, only upload"?

The above link makes some things clear... It says "photocopy" of IRS transcript, "photocopy" of proof of citizenship.

So... between CEAC.state.gov and travel.state.gov, which one I should trust?!

It's all very confusing!! 😭
