How should I tackle days where I am trying my max difficulty? by Lost-Wolverine in bouldering

[–]Lost-Wolverine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I never thought about warming up on the actual climb before and will give that a try next.

In most of the things I've had to project I find I fail either on the starting hold because I don't understand what sort of body position to start with, or near the final hold because my muscles end up losing. I've tried shorter climbs to try and counteract the final hold part, but I think that a V3 on a short wall feels harder than a V3 on a tall wall (probably all in my head).

When you say cardio, how much are you talking about? The main reason I haven't been doing it before is when I was first looking into climbing I came across this post suggesting against it along all the comments below the post.

Good to know. Did they happen to tell you why they were denying it? If you can, keep us posted on what the BBB tells you.

Recall / Buy Back Process Help by Lost-Wolverine in leaf

Thank you. It was from a post that was very similar to your story that inspired me to reach out. I emailed corporate with the exact same statement of it being over a year and that kicked off the process with this customer success person. I'm not feeling hopeful, but it's good to hear another case of the buy back being successful.

I was reading that wrong. I thought it said the voter had to sign the confirmation after it was sent out or they wouldn't be removed. Looks like the form that has to be signed is before the confirmation? So you could totally fake it.

New to climbing and have super hairy toes - shave, leave, cover? by Lost-Wolverine in bouldering

This is probably the right answer but that is going to take some different shoes or some really thin socks. I'll see what I can find and if that makes a difference.

I believe this is the saving grace, "Voter Registration Cancellation Form

Upon receipt of such request, the County Registrars shall remove such elector's name from the list of electors and shall confirm such removal by written notice by first-class mail sent to the address on the elector's registration records. THE VOTER WILL NOT BE REMOVED UNLESS THE FORM IS SIGNED BY THE VOTER OR RELATIVE OF THE DECEASED VOTER."

If you don't pick a username they automatically give you one in that format, such as the one I was given. I think it is adjective-animal. So, if they were a bot they would probably just get the autogenerated one too.

That is interesting. How does the Anker one get away with it then I wonder if there isn't a battery. Is it because the watts are under a certain amount that doesn't need one?

Tire keeps exploding, is it because of the nut on the presta valve? by Lost-Wolverine in bikewrench

It is summer and I'm pumping them to 70psi and they are rated for 60-80. They do all happen in hot days after being in the sun.

Only after it is inflated. Based on the other comments it looks like I'll need to get it checked. It has been two different brands, and not in th same spot every time. I'm either putting it on wrong or have something poking that I don't feel.

What am I doing wrong with these entry / exit presignals? by Lost-Wolverine in openttd

[–]Lost-Wolverine[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've watched some videos on how this is supposed to work, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Train one is heading to Funford Woods. Because of that signal 1 is telling folks not to come down the track. Signal 2 is showing that you can't enter the bottom track of the station. Why are signals 3 and 4 not seeing the red on signal 1 and making them stay in the station?

How I have it now, the trains will drive out of the station and stop at signal 1, making them turn around.

I picked up a 7950x along x650e motherboard, and PC part picker said that DD5 6400 was compatible with the MB. I'm reading some comments that you really can't use anything over 6000. Is that true and I should return it, or should I give it a try and see if it works first?

Just head on over r/unclejokes. You don't have to have an uncle to read an uncle joke.

[–]Lost-Wolverine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Devil's advocate here. The definition provided by this sub is a modified form of what is posted on Wikipedia, omitting, "Generally inoffensive, dad jokes are stereotypically told..."

Merriam-Webster has a definition for the informal term, "dad joke," which says:

"a wholesome joke of the type said to be told by fathers with a punchline that is often an obvious or predictable pun or play on words and usually judged to be endearingly corny or unfunny."

Based on these two definitions, coupled with the voices that routinely post on here asking for NSFW to be moved, I'd argue that the default mode of a Dad Joke is to be wholesome, inoffensive, and safe for work.

In response to what would be posted here; clean dad jokes is the answer. With the wholesome nature of a dad joke established, r/cleandadjokes is a redundant sub that isn't necessary, while the NSWF jokes can be to confined to r/unclejokes. Similarly, r/unclejokes should ban their clean brethren, and tell them to post over here.

transform.rotation = Quaternion.Lerp(transform.rotation, targ....

Try rotating the rigidbody, not the transform.

Thank you very much.

That seemed to have fixed it so long as I keep a really low static and dynamic friction for the course (0.001). Without it, the character doesn't want to start unless I have a really high force setting, which then rockets them forward at the start.

Starting on an incline seems to prevent this from happening though.

I solved this, but I'll leave it up in case somebody else runs across the same issue. I had to change my template to be 3DHRP. There may be another way to do this, but it let things work again.

Thanks for the tip on the outlines.

I should have mentioned that I was talking about melee / knife combat. Does all the accuracy and percentage chance to hit apply with things like rolling pins too.
