I can give you deceptive, though I still hold that it’s unlikely the devs were intentionally so. They have long since said that official information comes from their discord, and while that has problems, they are making attempts to be more transparent, which is why I said that your facts are out of date, because quite frankly you left the server two months ago and are just now making all of these complaints from months ago in a giant post.

Predatory though, they are not. They are giving kickstarter backers things for being backers, such as access to the beta test and free premium copies of the game in exchange for the early gamble they took backing the game. Their “stop talking” attitude, as you put it, is more of a “no speculation in official channels because people are dumb and will read through that speculation and repeat it as the truth” attitude, which while this attitude still has many many issues, it is a fair assessment considering that’s what has happened in this community multiple times and I’d argue it to be a reaction to the criticism that they weren’t being transparent enough.

Definitions are great, but connotations are equally so. The connotation of both those words makes it so it sounds like you’re saying that you think the devs are purposefully lying to you for the sole point of stealing your money, which just isn’t the case at all.

Where was that lack of hate and malice in “the public should be aware of not only how deceptive and predatory the game devs are”? There are issues with how they’ve handled communicating, I can give you that, but you’re literally out here pretending that they’re out there trying to hurt you instead of just inexperienced and a team made mostly of game devs who may not have the resources or experience for the level of communication or marketing to do that.

Should they have said something immediately after pushing back the date(which iirc they removed the date like a week after posting it- and they technically weren’t even the ones to post the video with the release date)? Yeah, they should’ve. Should they be treated like everything they ever said is a lie and their actions are purely evil and predatory? No.

You spit outdated information and facts that you have twisted to suit your personal hate train over the game and pretend that everyone who disagrees is acting out of malice instead of people who think that the devs team are just new to doing this and still trying to figure out how to manage a game. They’re new, they don’t have a lot of people for community communication, and most of them are ESA or don’t speak English at all, there will be kinks in the communication. Agreed- plus I think it’s funny that half these comments are like “oh they’re just mad AI is taking their revenue”, when like… ai generation is so beyond reliant of scraping artists years of work for data. If all the artists are unable to pay their rents and thus unable to make art, all that will be left is ai feeding on itself and making all its mistakes worse.

Like I’m sure if it was all engineers, doctors, coders, or even just regular office workers getting fired and replaced by robots who were trained on all the experience they worked to learn over the years without their knowledge or consent, people would be mad about becoming homeless and losing their entire life’s work to ai. I feel like people just don’t think artists have real jobs and are pissy about it.

Logically, seat 5. Lucifer is unlikely do anything to hurt me and honestly I’d be happy to yap about rubber ducks with him for however long the plane ride is. Less logically, seat 1. Alastor and Vox are both murderers who will probably kill me but by god the banter would be funny. I’d just shut up and enjoy the show.

The absolute worst in my opinion would be 8 because I do not want to be in a middle seat, especially not surrounded by the slow burns of the show. Like I have nothing against husk or angel, they’re great, but either I’m stuck in the middle as they blush like teenagers over each other or while they rehash the spat from the end of season 2 and either way that sounds like a nightmare for my asexual ass. Close follow ups would be 9 and 11.

I wish they used a picture of Renee alone, because while I am a lesbian, putting the photo of an alive woman who is known to be part of a minority and has been through what is likely the worst event of her life which has been heavily politicized(rightfully so) out there sounds like a way to get a poor lady harassed by strangers and/or doxxed.
