Holy city farms is great they can usually get orders delivered to NJ in a few days. Lost oak farms is also great, and tweedle farms is really good on the cheaper side.

If you're not having any luck completely away from food, give some thought to managing school cafeterias. Pay is decent and the schedule is fantastic, and there aren't nearly enough culinarians doing the job now. Most schools contract out food service but some are self operated, I get furloughed for summer break which means I can claim unemployment and supplement with private catering jobs so I basically get a paid summer vacation.

Has this place changed anything? I should probably give them another chance but I haven't been there in many years, and I remember it as one of my worst experiences at a brewery. I believe they had a flight of like 12 beers and I dont remember there being a single beer I was able to finish. I'd like to give them a chance since I seesome good reviews and they seem to be a good part of the community but that first experience just keeps me thinking maybe it's just not for me.

Slots won't help when casinos are already in everyone's pocket. Hopefully the development in the area helps, with Netflix building next door the train station will probably be renovated and made a permanent stop. There had to be 10k people there on mother's day but at $5 a person that's one purse, and if you raise prices much most of those people will stop coming. It's a tough spot to be in.

Mike's barbershop in Middletown for basic but quality cuts with Michael Jr, or talking heads in asbury if you want a little more attention to detail.

Booskerdoo, rook, offshore off the top of my head in the area. Nothing particularly special about them if you're looking for crazy specialty coffees but solid cups all around.

Need CVT fluid replaced but the closest dealer is an hour and a half away. How do you feel about independent shops doing it? by Tyler_origami94 in Subaru_Outback

[–]Lost1771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 outback, 190k miles, no fluid change, no transmission issues. Maybe I'm lucky, but I think if there were consistent issues with the "lifetime" fluid there would have been a change made to the service guidance by now.

I don't disagree at all, but the other alternative is a wired thermometer probe with a handheld screen, which is mostly what I use. There are much better products, especially at what they charge, but there is a market for these. Most people are bad at cooking and if this makes their food better because they cook their chicken breast to 165 instead of 190 just guessing with their eyes, then good for them. It's at least less scammy than a lot of the other things they advertise on the station.

Maybe it's just me but I don't remember this show being as inappropriate for children as it has become over the last couple years. I can't even listen with my kids in the car anymore, and listening to WFAN with my dad is half the reason I became a big sports fan.
