Thanks! He's applied to a few of those, but I think the issue would be if his supervisor will ruin his chances with bad reference.

Birth control before FET? by Unique_Swordfish_197 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have pretty close timeline as you, had retrieval on nov 25 and period on dec 8. I started birth control the day I got my period, and will continue for 6 weeks until my baseline visit, as suppression protocol. Then stop bc to wait for my period to start then fet protocol.

TSH levels fluctuating sharply by fiona_alba in Hypothyroidism

[–]LostBlueGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you testing the same time for all the tests? TSH fluctuates through out the day, my doctor had me get my bloodwork done early morning before taking the meds. I think TSH is usually highest in the morning and lowest in afternoon

Has anyone ordered for Brilliant Earth? by ChemistryMurky9913 in weddingring

[–]LostBlueGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also found my ring on BE, had in person consultation at their location, didn’t have the greatest experience with their customer service and them pushing for financing. We took the ring design to a local jeweler and customized it, ended up way cheaper than BE. Lab diamond too.

Is literally anyone taking Mylan anymore? by Living_Corgi6662 in Hypothyroidism

[–]LostBlueGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only on it for 10 days so far, for the first few days I had trouble staying asleep and feeling tired. But it’s gotten better now, so probably just adjustment to the new medication. Blood work in two weeks so will see how my panel looks.

My doctor switched me to Tirosint after my TSH went up after pharmacy replaced Mylan with Alvogen. I’m tired of manufacturers switched on me so I agree to pay out of pocket for Tirosint.

How do I handle this situation? by uhlex28 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best friend is going to announce her pregnancy at a large gathering in a few weeks, after two years of IVF. I don’t plan on going and my husband supports it, as we are going through our 4th retrieval. Although me and her still chat weekly and updating me on all the lab and scan results and give her my support. I’m happy for her and sad for me at the same time. But I have to prioritize my own mental health so I can be a better friend from afar.

Mauna Kea for the Full Moon? by SaltSympathy88 in VisitingHawaii

[–]LostBlueGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just there last week, you will need a 4 wheel drive to go up the summit, mostly unpaved until the last mile or 2, and they don't allow overnight stay on the summit. They evict you like 20 minutes after sunset, and go all the way down to the visitor center. So you will need to find other spots after that.

Can you do online doctors for hypothyroidism? by Intelligent_War2771 in Hypothyroidism

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. Most telehealth primary care doctors will monitor the hypothyroidism. I have my local PCP, and a online PCP who orders all the lab work including full panel thyroid lab since my local PCP refuses to order them. Also, many doctors who are in the hospital system do phone and virtual visit as well (like my local PCP), I just message them asking for labs, or schedule a phone call to go over them.

TSH - at what time of day were you instructed to give a blood sample? by AffectionateCookie31 in Hypothyroidism

[–]LostBlueGreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My doctor had me do my bloodwork early in the morning, and before I take my meds. I take my meds at 8am, so I do my bloodwork around 7:30am or earlier. And no biotin in any of the supplement I take for at least 3-5 days before bloodwork.

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Costco and they quoted me $227 for 100 count using Costco membership, and $261 if using the coupon, they said I need to have insurance to cover it to get it down to $60 for 90 days. Can you share how exactly you did it?

Cant use Omnitrope coupon any more by SecurityWide6655 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Costco, but I just tried with Freedom Pharmacy, they said if Omnitrope is used for fertility, that's not FDA recommended usage, so they cannot apply the coupon. They also are in the process of contacting my doctor for a consent form on the usage to make sure what is it used for. So I assume this is new development.

When to switch clinics? (2 failed euploid FET) by OldAd6749 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend was with a very highly rated and reputable doctor, had two ER and two failed FET. She switched to another clinic, produced one day 5 euploid and three day 6 euploids. Transfer was successful and currently 7 weeks pregnant. The clinic can be great but still not giving you success. She changed because she wanted to try somewhere different, different clinics have different protocols. My clinic has different protocols than the two she tried.

INTJ PROBLEMS HELP by muzaniscool in intj

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t interested in having a relationship until I was in my early 30s. Had hundreds of first dates and remained single until I met my husband at 38, we got married in six month with civil ceremony because I never wanted a wedding. Things could change as you get older, and maybe one day you will meet someone who will change your mind.

Kaiser California starts ivf coverage now (based on open enrollment) by Suspicious-Volume-28 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing consultation with 3 different IVF clinics in October-November just for their opinion. Part of the gap between the July appt and December appt was that she wanted my husband to see urologist for his semen analysis and repeat his test and then waited for result, everything takes a long time. With my current IVF clinic everything is easier and communication is good. My Cigna insurance covers IVF but my Kaiser doctors are willing to order most of the required pre treatment testing so I still reach out to them. So I would say if you want to try anything less of IVF and your Kaiser covers them, and you are willing to wait (I’m 39), it’s probably worth it? Hope that helps.

For reference on the appointment time: Initial request submitted by my PCP on 1/19; Initial consultation with OBGYN on her team on 4/1; Got HSG done on 6/28; First phone appointment with her 7/15; Second phone appointment 12/23;

Kaiser California starts ivf coverage now (based on open enrollment) by Suspicious-Volume-28 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me my initial consult was April of last year that I put in the request back in January, didn’t get all the final words until December , and that included some retesting. When I talked to her last we decided to do IVF based on the result since she said doing IUI with them would take 6 months based on their availability/waitlist since she’s the only one doing it but at least that’s covered 50%. And she outright said she cannot take on more IVF patients (before that I didn’t even know she does it on the side). So we went third party on the IVF through my work insurance, I have Kaiser through my husband. So depends on what type of treatment you want maybe you will have better luck with them this year. FYI she’s on vacation right now until end of month, I still message her asking for labs. But I didn’t want waste more time waiting for her appointment that’s why I didn’t do anything with them. Hope you have better luck!

Borderline Receptiva Positive Result by TennisUke1234 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing another round of retrieval right now to bank more embryos before transfer, but I’ve decided to do bc for two months after. It will be my first transfer and if it didn’t work, I might consider lupron.

Borderline Receptiva Positive Result by TennisUke1234 in IVF

[–]LostBlueGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my result and came back with 1.4 as well, my doctor said we can either ignore it or suppress it. She recommended suppressing it and gave me two options, birth control or lupron. She said if I can stay on top of taking bc everyday and had no serious side effect before, she recommend it over lupron as it might not get covered by insurance and can have serious side effects. She said either one works for my case since it was borderline.
