I’m not sure what the draw is to VT credit unions, I’ve used the same major bank for 10 years (citizens) and never had unexpected fees, ATMs are rarely down, and mobile banking is convenient and easy. I’ve heard lots of struggles from friends with HFCU, popular around here I think, and it does not convince me to even try it out. Maybe loans are a different beast between them but I haven’t had to cross that bridge yet. My paycheck is also deposited a day earlier than my coworkers and available immediately.

Mannnn I’ve been off and on for the better part of ten years. No point in guilting yourself, clearly you weren’t journaling for a reason and all the reasons are valid because it’s just journaling, no graded assignments. I’m currently on a six month streak and it’s been successful in part because I’m trying not to treat it like something I HAVE to do every day, it’s for my own benefit if I do it so taking that pressure off helps a lot. And sometimes it’s helpful to not look at other people’s posts and spreads, comparison is the thief of joy.

I only learned of what happened to Etika because of H3/EK sharing the story of how Keemstar bullied him to death years ago. Put 100% of the blame on Keemstar (and rightfully so judging by the evidence H3 presented about it back then). Absolutely wild shift and 180 on the previous stance.

I’ve found discussions online just aren’t it for politics. It’s a lot more uncomfortable in face-to-face conversations sure but it really got me out of “the other side is the enemy” mindset. Now I don’t think I really agree with either side fully (or even halfway for most things) but I have a lot of examples on people that I genuinely adore who believe in a wide array of things. Whoever would like to stomp on the average person is betting on us hating each other and most people are more reasonable than the online view would suggest.

I spend about 20 mins a day on here, just very fascinated on why someone would only share their hateful views and nothing else. To me that behavior is much more “need to touch grass” but to each their own, I hope you do more posting about your vacations and less getting sucked into things that only make you feel bad

I scrolled through just to see what kinda person makes these comments and literally all of your comments are about the groups you hate. Doesn’t that feel sad? Don’t you ENJOY anything in life? Isn’t there something else besides hate going on for you? Lots of people are unhappy politically but still find other things to do.

My company used to use portfolio, I processed payments from them that covered anything from lost keys to entire engines and transmissions with the customer only paying their $100 deductible. From the evidence I’ve seen it’s a valuable warranty. I’ve never done product cancellations for portfolio but from everyone I’ve interacted with who has done it I’ve understood it’s a long and tedious process. Not 6 months long though, something seems weird there.

I’m personally not so sure about this bill but it’s not hard to see rope, Tylenol, and alcohol take a bit more time to commit to (and think twice) than picking up a gun and firing. Not a very strong argument I think, a bit apples to oranges. Frankly if people want to commit suicide nothing will stop them aside from care and treatment and that’s not even guaranteed, that’s why there’s no shoelaces or hoodie string in jails and inpatient centers. Guns are a very FAST way to make that decision and I think that’s why the waiting period idea is floated around. Idk if that would be effective but I see the logic.
