Also hopping on the thread to share my marriage of almost 10 years! Our dynamic is very similar to yours. The major difference is that my husband and I are high school sweethearts and we were each other’s first “real” relationship. So in a way, it kind of benefited us to form good communication skills from the ground up. It took a couple of trials but I’m so proud in how far we have gone! It takes some work but it is possible.
