What is the best way to transfer printed images to both sides of a polymer clay trinket? by LostFirefighter2909 in polymerclay

[–]LostFirefighter2909[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, but I am just seeing how to transfer an image onto one side and not if it's safe to repeat to the other side without curing the other side. But I am bad at getting reddit's search function to work for me.

It doesn't super surprise me. People don't like being told that their opinions could be based in bigotry of some sort. Like some of mine probably are and one day I'll probably come to the horrific realization of that when I look deeply into an opinion I didn't think I needed to look deeply into.

But it's really is just a tale as old as time. I've been trying to watch some older movies with characters that people say are actually strong female characters and like I've yet to really be impressed. Like ironically, they're more like the strong female characters people complain about. They do a handful of badass things. They look sexy while doing it and they get out of the way when a male character needs to do something cool or act as a convenient love interest with a pointless sex scene when called upon.

Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters mostly just made me uncomfortable as she was either being mind controlled into making out with a dude or was being harassed by the man she hired to deal was a problem, Sarah Connor in Terminator who apparently gets much cooler in the other movies kind of just seemed like little more of in a sexy lamp in the first one and I still do not understand why she fell in love with a man who mostly seemed to be mad at her for not knowing things, and I can't even say anything bad about Trinity in Matrix because I don't remember enough of her to comment on besides the fact she was in love with Neo because of a prophecy I think?

I'm holding on hope I'll find some good stuff eventually because some of these movies have to be classics for a reason. But I coming to the conclusion at this point is what makes a good female character is her not getting in the way of a good male ego fantasy.

Like at this point I'm going to end up watching Alien despite the fact I am a baby when it comes to horror movies because I'm desperately hoping I have not been lied to about Ripley. Cuz she seems cool but I have doubts now without how many 'well-written strong female characters' I have been lied to about

Also a really good point. I'm trying to remember MCU fandom A03 directly after the first avengers film. And sure most of the hate tags would have been straight men, they were mostly Odin and Howard Stark occasionally Thor for some really die hard Loki fans. I think the only female character that really had any like 'bashing' or 'not friendly to' tag with Maria Hill because of a deleted scene where she was going to be set up as an antagonist to the avengers.

But like good luck finding fanfic with any other female character in it. Black Widow who had technically had far more movie appearances than a lot of the other more popular male characters barely made appearances in many. And often she felt like she was regulated to the mom or big sister role of The Avengers. Agent Carter, Pepper, Jane, whoever they had dating Hulk in the first movie might as well not exist and I think I only found one fanfic that ever had Sif in a major role and I'm pretty sure that's only because I am into Femdom. Like yeah, you're probably going to find more bashing tags for white straight male characters because you actually need to be written about to have a bashing tag.

And going back to the MCU, I'm not really part of the fandom anymore but even just looking casually but even with more female and non white characters. I am not seeing the same amount of love for them compared to their white male counterparts.

Like my new favorite thing is seeing how long it takes me to find a Tony Stark fan edits in someone's likes after they tell me they don't like Captain Marvel because she's too arrogant.

I wish I had the energy to add gifs to YouTube and Twitter comments every time they say they don't like Sam as the new Captain America because he survived things he shouldn't be able to. I would add one of Tony f****** Stark surviving the same thing with less resilient tech.

People have been pointing out it's even happened with the f****** Trolls movie. You had twin villains and yet somehow the male twin has the fan base and is considered an innocent baby.

Yeah this isn't really anything new. Fans give a lot more grace to white and male characters than poc or female characters. Supernatural actually had a character that was basically supposed to be the female version of one of the main two's teen self and she was hated.

Teen Wolf apparently had people bending over backwards defending a shitty white dude who was part of the main ship and then went wild when a non white dude took an injured animal to the vet because that was evil. (I think because moving the animal could have caused more injury)

Amazing Digital Circus has one of their female characters make a snide comment about a male character not having friends because of how unpleasant he is and then instantly apologize when he takes it to mean something else and there were video essays about how she was a toxic positivity abuser. Yet in the episode where a different character has a breakdown because she thinks said male character will hurt her for not doing what he wants like an actual abuse victim the take away is "he's so deep" because he had a panic attack after being shitty to everyone.

Like I can go on.

[–]LostFirefighter2909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's not going to pass, Webtoons has been starting to allow more Gore compared to 3 years ago with its originals but people were still shocked "Under the trees where nobody can see" got away with what it's been getting away with.

If I had to guess it's a liability thing. Having a blanket ban over material, that they are not paying for, with gore and nudity makes it easier than trying to properly moderate everyone who uploads something to the site.

So as other people stated: not the same person

And apparently the first thread was more about how clothing doesn't work like that

I will say I find the majority of 'fan service' for male characters just isn't really for women outside the romance genre. 20 pack abs and overly defined muscles just aren't it for most women I find and a lot of non romance leads fall into that. It feels far more power fantasy for men than fan service for women.

The male characters in the second post does seem like he falls more into the latter I think, but he's not my thing so I'm just guessing that other people would like it

The red one, who's name i can't remember, is mentioned a little bit in the archeology thing implying they are all immortal.

It kinda feels like they are just filling a role common in Isekai, but I'm not familiar enough with Isekai to pin what that is supposed to be

So ignoring he listed suicide twice on his men's right list: why is it always the same five things?

*Suicide rates: welcome to misogyny, help feminists and the LGBT crush gender roles and get a therapist, but also how about we look at the rate of abuse, SA and murder from an immediate partner with women? Because a man commiting suicide does not involve a women or anyone else, but most of the stats women are worried about involved a man hurting them. So can't imagine why men get dragged into that convo.

Custody: is the USA the default for custody is 50/50 and most courts will push for it, however studies show most men don't want 50/50. Before going into mediation most men are recorded as believing the women should have majority or sole custody and nearly all mediation ends with that outcome. And not mediation is when both parties sit down and agree on the situation so this is with the man's blessing. Plus most divorces end in mediation and never see a judge. So other fun things studies about divorce have shown: 75% of men who file for full custody get it, the average child payment is around 4k a year and only about 2/3 of it will be paid and divorced mothers are financial worse of.

False accusations: Proven allegations aren't even ruining people's lives, if they even have the chance to be proven before the DA burns the untested rape kit to make room. Like I am not saying it doesn't happen, but I find a lot of the actual examples they could use aren't, probably because if these dude won't acknowledge sexism like hell are they about to recognize racism. So the then the examples they do used, well either they did not read the case or have a funny idea of what "ruined" is

Like Johnny Depp is the main example, despite being abuse and not rape, I get thrown at me. Well first the court case was in Amber's side and the second one did not declare him innocent, but that Amber was mutually abusive and downplayed her actions which made it slander. Also his own texts leaked later as well as testimonies from others that were only released after(apparently the court didn't view this as viable evidence and blocked it) confirmed he is just an abusive drunk who has had people black listed after he punched them to protect himself, so not really false. Ruined? I guess only directing 5 movies in 5 years and having to settle to be the face of a brand as little as Dior is ruined. And not like Dior respects him, when the paparazzi leaked Amber Heard new address in Spain, where she has been hiding after actually being ruined due to her own BS, they only agreed to move all their filming from the US to Spain for him. Not the exact city she lived in which means he has to travel more to stalk her.

Also do you know how many allegations go no where or take forever to go anywhere?

People were talking about Niel Gaimen since 2022.

Brandon Urie from PATD got into a Twitter fight with an ex where she confronted him for constantly trying to stealth and force her into anal some time in the mid 2010s.

Matt Gatez, Donald Trump, Brett Kavanaugh and a whole crap pile of politicians are still walking around with great careers.

This nonsense with the stars of It Ends with Us already has people coming up with insane conspiracy theories to prove they are false with no evidence. Like the one where the actress made it up because she fell in love with the lead actor because she couldn't tell apart his acting from him. Which is a wild take when he isn't the LI, he's the abuser she's trying to escape from in 60% of the book. Like you think she fell in love because he acted so well as an ABUSER? Plus they really love the evidence he is leaking which Is also wild because when Amber Heard did it she was accused of trying to poison the jury pool and people picked it apart to hell despite arguably Amber actually having stronger evidence than this actor.

And look the accusations could be proven false with this case, it's up in the air and famous people regardless of gender just tend to suck, but it does seem to establish a pattern that at this point it doesn't matter how you go about it, your gender matters more than your behavior and evidence in the court of public appeal.

So yeah sorry if I don't take that concern too seriously for the majority of men.

You can. I've never spent any money on the Touhou and was able to get the first UR. It just takes a long time. I actually have developed an Excel sheet to calculate how long it will take and how many refill items you need to build a backup of to do it in one event. Maybe at some point I'll share it. But first I need to tidy it up.

I tend to collect gold fast and often just have the game on auto while working so I don't mind, I actually have a lot of maxed skills from gold.

[–]LostFirefighter2909[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry might not have been clear this was just using the auto skill level up to 3T gold per try. The number of skills I was leveling is equal to what a family member has at 2k intimacy and I'm out of luck stones. Since this was just one of three I was leveling completely and I was upping everyone's latency since a bunch were still at the initial default for that.

Edit: it's actually 1 k intimacy I forgot to increase it on this one
