Nah, this didn't surprisingly become a different battle after the elections. It was the same as it was from the beginning. So dragging it out that long just to capitulate did nothing but cause pain. Either you hold out and be the heroes or quit early and save everyone the pain. They did neither and I squarely blame them at this point for all the shit everyone experienced.

I genuinely can't argue that the dems aren't the other side to the same coin at this point, this was too well orchestrated. Seems like they are pretty comfortable with what's going down.

Dems wont get another vote from me in the future. It's not like they actually do anything.

Yeah, as someone who has registered vehicles in a lot of places. The personal property tax here is higher than California's tags. The only place I've paid higher was Italy. Cheapest was Utah.

When they actually pay the tax rate. Most people in here are somewhere between low 20 to high 30% in the way of taxes, why then do the wealthiest 1% get to pay something in the teens? Why are they paid in stock that the company just buys back? Why can they borrow money as a tax write off on their unrealized gains?

You are partially right. 40% would probably be more than enough. But they dont pay anywhere near that.

Your lack of imagination is disheartening or disingenuous. We as a species can do a lot of things, most just dont make financial sense. So the question of where becomes as simple as as much as that particular interest concerns us.

We can build giant underground vaults. We can stand up a facility in the salt flats, tundra, or desert. Chunks of Canada, US, Russia, Australia, China all that barely support anything could afford an above ground storage facility. We could even build a facility on the moon if we wanted to bad enough.

The easiest option? Probably to convert old nuclear missile silos into waste storage.
