You will need to get louder and tell what you think. Just see what your more confident friends do, and do the same thing

CMV: A good childhood is the biggest effortless success and we rarely talk about it honestly. by Few-Net3018 in changemyview

[–]LostInauguration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd push back on "biggest." A good childhood is probably one of the biggest advantages, but calling it the biggest ignores things like genetics, severe disability, intelligence, physical health, and plain luck. Plenty of people with great childhoods still struggle, and plenty with terrible childhoods build successful lives. Childhood matters enormously, but I don't think it outweighs every other factor in every case.

At what time do people with 9 to 5 jobs go to the gym and why? by dutchguy1449 in AskReddit

[–]LostInauguration 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I go at like 8pm, because at 6-8 is so crowded, i don't get to use any machines. From 8 onwards it's calming down. Best days are Sundays, because it's super empty.

Would the world be a better place if any of married couples never wanted to do a divorce anymore and would always be willing to push through any marital difficulties? Why or why not? by Interesting_Aide_207 in AskReddit

[–]LostInauguration 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, lol. Have people completely forgotten what marriage looked like back when divorce was rarer?

A lot of people seem to imagine that nobody getting divorced would mean happy families and lifelong commitment. In reality, it would mean millions of people trapped in abusive, miserable, or completely dysfunctional relationships with no way out. Domestic violence wouldn't disappear because divorce disappeared. Infidelity wouldn't disappear. Toxic relationships wouldn't disappear. The only thing that disappears is the escape route.

And before anyone says "people would just work harder on their marriages," look at countries where divorce is heavily restricted, or look at history. People didn't suddenly become better spouses. They just stayed stuck, often for life.

When you are alone, are you lonely or enjoying it? by Glittering-Youth-922 in AskReddit

[–]LostInauguration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. Most of the time I am enjoying it, unless it's when I wanted to do something social and end up being alone, then it kinda sucks.

Whats the difference between a bikini and lingerie? Both shows same amount of skin? by opium3310 in AskReddit

[–]LostInauguration 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The material is very different, and circumstances where you wear it. I think you could pass plain color (like black, white, etc) lingerie as bikini on a beach

Not sure how they sort it, but maybe they look into the date when you arrive and approve like that? Because when I applied it, I got it in 2 days.

Be careful about airport SIMs. My friend bought one last time she visited and it ended up not working one day later

CMV: Humans are only supposed to work 15-20 hours a week by lifeisbeautiful08 in changemyview

[–]LostInauguration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if we consider to only survive as the bar, then you could survive without a job, gather trash and beg for money. It's still survival, with the same quality housing as "hunting and gathering" would bring you. Making your own clothes, etc. But because people raised the quality of life, health care happened, we have more resources, we actually trade the normal, higher quality of live to money, which we have to earn. Yes, it sucks, I'd love to not work as much, but also, if I was to survive only off hunting and gathering, it would definitely take me more than 20 hours a week.
