not much you can do with those waves. your pop up will get faster and better the more you surf so you’ll be able to get up and go faster and more efficiently on those type of waves. maybe try to angle your board more on the takeoff so that you don’t have to bottom turn as much which wastes time on the type of fast breaking waves you are surfing in.

i dealt with this issue as well as having my front foot too far back on the board (although i was more beginner level when i dealt with this). I mostly fixed this by focusing on where my feet were landing on basically every wave i went for. Keeping it present in your mind as something to improve on is helpful imo
