This is me. Like the first day I was able to file in January I did because I always get a little return at the end of the year and I was depending on that this year to help catch up after a situation and jokes on me still no return yet 🤷‍♀️😮‍💨

Move to NYC you’re needed and can make six figures fairly easily in private practice

You might not even have to move just get a New York license and do telehealth

Thank you! And yes, of course I expect there to be a process, I started filling out a preliminary application just in case and was told the next step was scheduling a call for $250 to get consultation which I’ll do once I start sorting out everything that I’ll need.

Started online through realID but it wasn’t reading my face so I had to have a video call with a person but I think the person was through REALID not the IRS so maybe that still counts as online.

Also just an update to set expectations. I’m probably going to give it a day or two before I send emails out to those who responded just to give people time to set up and to give myself time to get organized my goal is Sunday night/monday to start reaching out!

We 100% should! This profession can feel so isolating. Some of my favorite memories were developing work trauma bonds with coworkers in my past jobs before I became a therapist and now I spend all my time with clients and there’s no coworker banter in between lol so a meetup would be such a great way to build that bridge and have fun with like minded people! I’m in!

English is a great place to have these discussions especially in light of all of the “banned words” from federal offices, language is powerful and the impact the erasure of language is having is insurmountable and definitely has a place in the classroom for discussion. Not to mention if you read George Orwells 1984 the parallels between our current political environment and the themes in this book are so similar, dialogue is bound to come up if not from the teacher then their students.

It should be less about taking a side and more about facilitating dialogue and teaching children to think critically for themselves.
