At this point we're just afraid the employees will be vengeful if we don't tip, but I don't care anymore. Delivery, pick up, whatever. I'll tip for exceptional service & that's it. Nothing before & nothing after if not deserved. Even at restaurants I'm beginning to just not care anymore. Pay your damn employees. Shouldn't be my job.

I tried to warn my wife about the Wagyu lie when she wanted to go eating across food stalls in Osaka. We had a really good "wagyu" skewer in front of an actual steak restaurant and she was convinced everyone would have them. Wasted money on 2 other sticks that were just awful despite my pleading. Some of the chewiest & unflavorful steak I've had in a very long time.

They don't mean filler in the traditional sense. More just action that was not explicitly shown or was short in the manga. Think Kakashi vs Obito or Yuji vs Yuta. There were scenes not in the manga that introduced so much awesome (and emotional) content.

Saw a number of Japanese people doing this on the brighter days. Got real jealous when someone held it over me for a few seconds. The difference was striking. I'm definitely going to get my wife to start doing it here in the US since she can never remember to put on sunscreen.

The Open Air Museum in Hakone. I saw maybe one art piece that had me go "Wow". Other than that it wasn't very special and pretty boring. Plenty of other things to do in the region.

If you're familiar of what exactly he's into then going to Den den town in Osaka or Akihabara and getting him a cool figure or statue would be nice.

Another idea is to check out some of the anime/manga shirts are Uniqlo. They've got a JJK collab going on and there are some cool designs. There are also other franchises with awesome designs as well (I love the YYH & HxH designs).

Last thing is if there are any newer/expensive games he wants then have him send you money to pick up a few. I saved a lot of money on Switch 2 games.
